We have been going to Gilroy Gardens for years (it used to be called Bonfante Gardens after the man who built it for his wife). It is an absolute hidden gem. Lovely gardens, complete with water falls and woven trees (some are quite old) really add to the adorable, little-kid friendly amusement park rides.
Roller coasters in various sizes, hot-air balloons, carousels (big and little sizes) as well as a water park (very small), cars on a track and even a train that goes around the whole park are only some of the things you'll enjoy here. As I said, "hidden gem" and that's part of what adds to the magic. Not crowded, not rushed, not destroyed by sweaty teen-aged gangsters cutting in line at every turn. Just beautiful and magical for the little ones and their grandparents too.
Thumbs way up!

I love going to GIlroy Gardens. I used to go there when Bonfante owned it. It is so unique. The circus trees that are entertwined together are so interesting. The garden's are so pretty. Great kids area with old fashioned rides and booths.

Brilliant place to go with kids and babies.
We went with our 6 month old (and could take her on some of the rides) and a 4 and 6 year old.
Everyone enjoyed this from grandparents to parents to kids.
Would highly recommend a visit here, only downside is you have to pay $10 to get into car park and the entrance fees are very high, but most things are these days!
Look out for the trees here as some of them are absolutely beautiful!!
We went in Early September and on a Saturday and it wasn't that busy, so no big queues for rides.

My grandchildren took me to this park and what fun it was. They had been several times before and for days before we went they were so excited that they kept talking about going. If your local you can buy a season pass, which cuts the cost. There is a $10 parking fee which I thought was excessive with the price of a ticket. You can take bottled water in but no drinks. Food, I thought was expensive and there was a area by the front entrance with picnic tables if you want to take your own food. We got a family chicken basket and a salad and the cost was $47. A bit high for a budget!
