Description: Catelli's is a landmark, third generation restaurant located in the heart of Sonoma County between the breathtaking hills of Dry Creek and Alexander Valley Catelli's was originally opened in Geyserville around 1936 by Italian immigrants Santi and Virginia Catelli. The restaurant was originally known as Catelli's "The Rex" (the "king" as translated from Latin). Third generation Catellis and siblings, Domenica and Nicholas Catelli, are now co-owners. Located in Geyserville in Sonoma County, the menu highlights ingredients from local and organic farmers as well as over 100 local wines. Led by executive chef, author, and media personality, Domenica Catelli, original items such as handmade ravioli are paired with new bright creations such as "The Pasta of the Moment." Catelli's has a rich history with the local community, where generations of families have eaten, celebrated, and created memories throughout their lives.

“So good!”
Reviewed February 4, 2014

We ordered the sliders which were yummy, and the meat ravioli was perfect. We also ordered one of the specials, spaghetti with sausage and red onions which were really good too.

“Consistantly good Italian Cuisine”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

Surprisingly good food in an unassuming spot. We have eaten here five or six times - always good. Service is good and food is great.

“Off season surprise - Reservations in season in season!”
Reviewed December 7, 2013

On our first visit to Sonoma Valley..........we stayed in Geyersville............only 2 restauants open for dinner in the town (tiny) but Catelli's was a winner! Spacious & warming; including a long bar; staff and service attentive. As we were in on a weeknight - mostly locals with a few hardy tourists! Run by family (brother/sister combo), the menu is extensive Italian - a link to Guy Fieri & Food Network - the brother used to work for him. Food was substantial and excellent.....kale salad a real winner; as was beet salad. Main course first was Ravioli (famous feature). So good back on second night - not because there were only 2 but specials change daily. We were rewarded with a fantastic spagetti with garlic; great sauce highlighted with Dungeness crab (season just opened in Bodega Bay). Too delicious to ever forget. Only thing to watch is early closing - 8'ish or 9'ish when we were there. We would have stayed on for more but had to push on to Sonoma...............

“Great Service, Great Food”
Reviewed November 22, 2013

We celebrated our anniversary at this establishment. Prices were a bit high, but the quality was there. The service was incredible. The waiter knew about each dish and was very excited about the food. He came back several times throughout the meal to bring us water, more bread and that delicious tomato pesto butter that goes with it and to ask if we needed anything.... I ordered the Raviolis -- half meat and half cheese combination (not on the menu) with meat sauce and butter and garlic sauce. The pasta dough was very thin. The butter sauce was very rich and silky, delicious but I didn't eat too much of it. The meat sauce was incredible. My husband ordered a rigatoni dish that had homemade Italian sausage in it. He loved it. The portion was very large and he will be having it for breakfast tomorrow morning! I definitely would go back and try some other dishes.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

We had been eager to try this restaurant but it turned out to be a disappointment. The restaurant is cute inside. Our waiter was pitiful. A long list of things he could have or should have done better. Poor service was consistent throughout the night.
The food was fair to poor. The mixed vegetables were greasy. The lasagna was good. The fish was overcooked. The minestrone was more like chili than minestrone soup. Just a disappointing experience because we had been looking forward to eating here.
