We stayed here with friends for three nights over the Memorial Day weekend. The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood off Highway 199. The highway is inaudible day or night. We were looking for a relaxing escape for a reunion with friends & definitely got it.
The yard is HUGE & has tall privacy fence & shrubs all around the property. There is enough space to comfortably walk about or let a dog romp & explore. The yard itself is a good reason to rent this property!
The house is surrounded by a nice wide deck with ample room for BBQ, tanning, or other playful activities. We enjoyed breakfast at the table on the deck as the kitchen is easy to access in & out. The kitchen has good appliances (no dishwasher) & quality plates/silverware.
There is a detached garage with dog-maintenance materials such as blankets, poop bags, & treats. Also worth mentioning is RECYCLING bins in the garage! Ample firewood is stacked adjacent the garage for use in the iron stove during cold winter nights.
Walking to the river is a nice, easy stroll out the back gate just as advertised :)
Diane was friendly & easy to work with. She promptly answered all our questions & helped to make sure we found the house on the first try. Diane was unobtrusive yet always accessible -- an excellent manager.

We stayed 2 nights. The cabin was great for us and our 3 small children. They loved the bunk beds. Really close drive to see the Redwood trees and the beach in Crescent City. The short walk to Smith River was beautiful.
