ok, i have some reasonable expectations when it comes to eating out...although my wife may think unreasonable, but food and i have an intimate relationship! and if i have a crappy meal, it will stay with me until i have a good one .....what i expect......clean, reasonable (don't charge me 22 dlrs for a pasta dish, unless you're making it with a LOT of truffles), friendly staff who know the food and top on the list, the food fresh, tasty, well prepared and balanced....

this place is a great italian restaurant! as others have said, you wouldn't eat there if you didn't know about it. recommended by a friend of ours whom i trust when it comes to food. pizza is damn good, fresh ingredients, the pastas fresh and seafood good. haven't had a bad meal here...it's on my go list when i want italian.....and it's reasonable. yes there are good italian restaurants in the city of los angeles, but without having to travel 40 min for us in the south bay areas this fits the bill on all accounts....

worth the trip if you're exploring the beaches of los angeles or find yourself in the south bay towns of manhattan, hermosa, or redondo beach or torrance

You would never eat here if you didn't know about it. It's in an industrial part of town, but you need to know about it. We started with a pizza for an appetizer. They have a pizza oven, and the crust is thin and crispy. I had a ravioli with spinach, ricotta, and bacon in a sage butter sauce that was delicious.
For dessert we had gelato that is made on site. The prices are good as well.

We have been lunching at Eatalian Cafe since it opened. The location is odd, the parking not so great, but the food is amazing. The pizza is thin crusted with just the right amount of topping - not over done. I've had several of the pasta dishes and my favorite is the Tortelli di Zucca (butternut squash ravioli). Wonderful gelato...I've been known to go by there just for some gelato in the afternoon. They have cannoli in two sizes - large and small - and the small comes 3 to an order. The food is scrumptious, the ambiance is industrial, and the noise level is high. Go for the food!
