“now thats a REAL sandwich”

of course you have your subway for your subs, but we europeans are known to be fussy on our breads. I have to say, hands down, that Lees sandwiches have to be the best sandwiches in the USA. the bread taste as genuine as if it were made in a french bakery, the natural ingredients they use just exploded with flavor, I was really not expect that!! just try a simple egg sandwich,, and be amazed at the flavor. The soups are okay too,, Pho bo, and also try the Nuc Mia.

Kam Uhn!...

“This is a place NOT TO BE MISSED - Tourists, please take note!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2011

It surprised me that there were no reviews on Lee's Sandwiches for some time. This institution is a "chain" around the county, but this particular spot is so very convenient to folks going to Disneyland that I thought I would "write it up" again. I am NOT a tourist, but a "local". This sandwich place makes Viet Namese sandwiches and a very low price, and they are just -- frankly -- wonderful! As you probably well know, the French were in Viet Nam for a period of many years. The Vietnamese people learned how to make their wonderful bread and croissants. It is with those breads that all sandwiches are made at Lee's . . . fresh baked each and every day. When you walk in you can see and smell fresh long baggettes being taken out of the small room-sized oven, and that grand yeasty smell fills your nostrils. You then stand at the counter and indicate what kind of filling you want. I choose the grilled pork, but there are lots of other choices. You get a number and wait (a really short time) until your order is called. There is plenty of seating . . . just as there is plenty of parking. For my twelve inch baggette sandwich today I paid a whopping $2.45 !! As I say, this is a place NOT TO BE MISSED. You could even stock up and make a picnic from their selections. In addition to sandwiches there are great Chinese fried shrimp rolls and Bau, as well as Vietnamese coffee (VERY dark with condensed milk on the side) and a selection of soft drinks. In short, a great place for lunch.
