The place itself was very comfortable and clean. The food was great and delicious. But what really made our stay such a great experience was the staff - specifically those at front desk! Sergio, Samuel, Ray, Alejandra and Katrina were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our whole stay. Being a party of 17 - which included an infant, a toddler, kids, teens, adults and elders - you can just imagine the chaos from switching rooms, getting breakfast, purchasing park tickets! I'm sure it was a hassel to tend to my parties needs but they did it without question. We really felt like they personally went out of their way to accommodate our needs and we are truely grateful for their hospitality!

Room Tip: Doesn't matter about which room is better. As long as Sergio, Samuel, Ray, Alejandra or Katrina...

First, the cons:
Elevators in the morning, super busy breakfast (read chaotic) and mattresses weren't on par with other Marriott properties.

Pros:
Heated Pool, Decent Breakfast despite the # of people, Love being on the ART route, friendly helpful staff, room for 4 adults and 3 kids, and the price.

I'm sure their are nicer properties, or bigger rooms (probably not) or ones closer to the park, or have a better breakfast, or are cheaper, but you won't find them all in one spot. For a Disneyland stay, this is the spot. Plus, at less than $200 a night for 2 bedrooms and a kitchen...your crazy if you think you can do better than that for this level of quality.

Room Tip: Pick a low floor, easier to navigate the slow elevators.

We thank you for posting this review. We feel that no hotel in the area caters to families like the Residence Inn by Marriott. Our recent renovation has caused extra congestion in our elevators we expect to be completed by May 23rd. Thank you for being our guest! Hope to see you soon.

The time we spent at Disneyland completely overshadowed the floaters in my toilet when I checked in or the used bar of soap that was stuck to my shower curtain. That did make me question the cleanliness of the rest of the room though. I stayed in a two bedroom two bath suite with a full kitchen. It was comfortable enough for my family of four. The a/c in the room with me and my husband was so loud the room would shake when it was on. The complimentary breakfast was just okay, but nice to have if you are on a budget. They also offer a light meal in the evening Mon-Thurs, and it also was just mediocre. There is a shuttle stop right outside the hotel to catch the little bus that will take you to Disneyland, and that was very convenient. The staff was nice and polite. My family had such a good time at Disneyland that the few shortcomings of the hotel could not ruin our trip. The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and a Target. It would not be my first choice to stay here again, but I would not be completely opposed to it either.

We stayed at this hotel after checking out early of a hotel close by where we had a really poor experience. This place was fantastic and just what we needed to finish off our stay in Anaheim. The rooms was fantastic. It was cosy for 5 of us in a one bedroom suite but it worked fine and we were out a lot of the time anyway. The pool, basketball court, table tennis table etc were great for the kids. The breakfast had a good variety and it was always easy to get a table. The staff were very professional and were always looking at ways to help. They arranged our late check out for us which was so kind as we had a very late international flight. I would defintitely recommend this place to anyone looking at visiting Anaheim. Other positives for us were - free parking, family restaurants, target and outlets close by and laundry facilities. Well done to the staff here you really know how to look after guests.

It is not easy for a family of two adults and four children to find hotel accommodation to fit them (at least without having to get adjoining rooms). The residence inn does almost everything brilliantly and has family rooms with two queens and a bunk. The staff are great, the facilities are great, the breakfast is great, they even do a complimentary light dinner with your accommodation. The rooms are large and have a complete kitchen and separate lounge/sitting area. There are three TVs in the suite. I even ended up using the sofa bed which was not very comfortable but fine. There are only two things I do not love and one comment. 1. It is not really close enough to Disneyland to walk. Not a problem for us but thought people should know. 2. Parking is $10 potter night. That is more than the place we stayed which is directly opposite Disney. Now the comment, the bunks were in one room, the two queens in the other. This means zero chance of mum and dad having any alone time unless they want to use the bunks. Not going to happen. Oh, and the bunks room has no natural light - also not ideal. Otherwise, a really excellent hotel for families.

We recently took our family to Disneyland for spring break. We researched for months trying to find a hotel that was big enough for our party of 6, served breakfast and was close. We finally decided on the Res Inn and were so happy. Not only did we get a 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen and two bathrooms there was so much more. The hotel had a pool, basketball hoop, ping tables, full breakfast everyday and the best part which was a surprise they serve a light dinner every night which saved us a ton of $. After spending all day at the resort we didn't want to cook or hardly go out so it was awesome. Also kudos to the friendly girls at the front desk.. you rock. Will recommend to everyone I know:)

Room Tip: 5th floor poolside in a 2 bdrm suite

We thank you for posting this review. We feel that no hotel in the area caters to large families like the Residence Inn by Marriott. Whether traveling with a family of 6 or even more, the additional space enhances your trip by giving you room to relax after a long day. Our daily breakfast buffet is an added value especially when you are traveling with a family. We hope to see you as a guest again very soon.

We actually had a reservation at the Residence Inn Maingate in Anaheim because it is just a short walk to Disneyland and that was our whole reason for going. When we arrived at the Maingate Marriott we were very disappointed, the area did not seem very safe and the room was dark, very out-dated decor, and smelled of smoke. They offered a different room but it looked exactly the same. My husband called Marriot Rewards (we were using our rewards points for our stay) and they offered to move us to another Residence Inn up the street. It was a little farther from Disneyland but just a quick 10 minute drive (they also have a bus that stops out front every 30 min and is only $5 per person). We were much happier with this Marriott, it was newer and had a nice pool (though we didn't stay long enough to use it), and even upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite! They have a great breakfast that is included as well with everything you could want. Overall I think this is a great hotel for families.
