We stayed here during our anniversary trip to Disneyland, and we had a very pleasant trip. While this was not the first time staying at this Hyatt, it was our first return since before their renovation and name change. The rooms are very clean and have very modern, upgraded furnishings. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we were checked into our room quickly.

We stayed in an executive suite, which has a very different layout from the same type of suite we've visited at other Hyatts...it's not actually two rooms, rather a partitioned off sleeping area separate from the living/dining area. This made the sleeping area a bit less private, so travelers who are seeking two specific rooms should keep that in mind. For some reason, this Hyatt has chosen to replace the wall adjoining the atrium lobby with glass, which does allow a view into the atrium, but can also be noisy, as the sound from people in the lobby tends to bounce along all that glass. Luckily, the group we were in with wasn't a late-night group, so the noise died down later in the evening. All of the executive suites are on this atrium side, so if there had been an issue, the hotel would not have been able to resolve it.

Elevators were quick, we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for one to arrive. The restaurant in the lobby was quick and very helpful.

Cons:
Charging for Wifi...really? Seems like this would be a basic perk in a branded hotel like a Hyatt, especially with a suite. If Motel 6 can do it, so can the Hyatt.

Charging for bus to Disney...also, seems like this would be a basic perk in a branded hotel. The HROC is almost two miles from Disney, and while that was walkable for my husband and I, it would not be for families with small children. I would expect such charges from a lower-end property, but it was a surprise at the Hyatt (and a change since the renovation, as there wasn't a charge the last time we stayed...we simply had to show our room key).

As long as you don't mind the distance, it's a nice hotel that seems to cater to families. Keep in mind that you will be paying for every extra like parking and shuttle, and figure that into the total price of the room.

Room Tip: If you're noise-sensitive, choose a non-atrium facing room.

We had reservations here for the 2014 CALEA convention/conference. Everyone was so nice from check in to check out. Our room was upgraded to a suite for no extra charge. It was amazing! So much space and bunk beds in one room for children. We were not traveling with kids but this would be awesome for families who were. Enough room for kids to play and beautiful doors that could be closed to separate children from adults with large tvs in each room. The entire hotel was gorgeous! The lobby was beautifully decorated and with beautiful art. Was not thrilled with the cost of parking. However, it is California and with that I can understand. If only it could be a bit cheaper. Also, the plumbing is loud. That was unusual to experience in a hotel of this type. However, we really didn't hear the people moving about and talking in rooms on either side of us. Our last night there (a Saturday) the hall was a bit loud. But, I did find myself having a good nights sleep. I can not give a review without mentioning Nancy McDonnell the Concierge who was so amazing! She was so nice to talk with and helpful. She set us up for a beach/Hollywood tour with Lux bus. This was a high light of our trip and very much enjoyed it. A BIG "thank you" to Nancy for her help!! Our first time to travel to California and the Hyatt made it a perfect trip!

Room Tip: If traveling with children get a suite with the bunk beds. You will be glad you did.

We've stayed here twice on our annual trips to the Happiest Place on Earth.

The rooms are nice. The 2nd stay, they were having a sale on suites, so we took advantage of that.

The parking fee is ridiculous, but I get it. Land's expensive in this area.

My only gripe, and I know the hotel can't do much about it..... They had a cheer leading event both times we've stayed there. Walking in from the parking lot can be a nightmare during the event. Little girls dancing around, not looking where they are flipping and flopping their arms in the hallway. You gotta be kind of ninja like, to avoid not being smacked in the face by a prepubescent cheerleader to get to the elevator.

I do a lot of web searching, rooms , window views, gym, room size, location close to my main attractions etc. I was amazed on its beauty :) inside as well as out. Only pet pee was no free WiFi and charge for parking? Why ? Plus even thought its C.A. with all its glamour, staff was not that welcoming as I expected :( It is a great location and room view is awesome. But I have mixed emotions on if i would ever go back ????

Having recently stayed here as part of our Virgin Holiday, we were delighted to stay in this modern, bright, clean and pleasant hotel. In every sense, this hotel certainly lived up to its reputation of being a well positioned and comfortable hotel with big rooms, great amenities, ample parking and fantastic location to Disney. Our particular room was a suite with a very large lounge area containing a large sofa, desk and flat screen TV with a large bedroom and bathroom just off it. The room was cleaned to a high standard daily and would certainly stay here again. Staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful, always smiling and putting their guest first - thank you for such a great experience. My only dissapointment was that the main pool was closed due to refurb, so the only pool area was the small one by starbucks coffee shop. This area isn't great if you like you sun as the pool only tends to get the sun late afternoon. Roll on the opening of the main one!

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be of the same high standard.

My family and I have stayed in this hotel for three times in the last three years. The hotel service location and facilities are all excellent. The fitness centre is descent size and the pools are well kept. The shuttle busses to disney land are very prompt and all drives and staff are very friendly and courteous.
There are many restaurants that are walking distance and a Target across the street for those little things that we forgot to pack. The hotel also has a tennis court (however the surface is not for tennis players) but still can be used for a game or two. The hotel has a nice Californian inspired restaurant and pub with descent prices and great service. There is also a Starbucks inside the hotel so you can get a coffee to go while you start your day.
Hopefully we will be back at this hotel soon because we had a terrific stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Disneyland and California Adventure. We booked the Queen Family Suite which was awesome! It is 700 sq ft and has 2 separate bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a living area. It was perfect, especially since my father-in-law joined us to spend time with the kids. We were impressed with the hotel and would highly recommend!
We also enjoyed the hotel shuttle to and from the park. We drove to disneyland the 1st day we were there and that took forever to get us to the park. Disneyland wasn't at all prepared for the crowd and it wasn't even during peak season. It was much faster and cheaper to use the hotel's private shuttle.

Room Tip: If you're traveling with family/kids, I would recommend one of the 2 bedroom suites. They're...
