“Fairly nice stay when there aren't conferences in the hotel!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

Very contemporary looking hotel exterior and lobby, very helpful and courteous staff (even inside the lobby's Starbucks!) The room was simply decorated, but nice enough. Bed was pretty comfortable, bathroom and shower were clean. Oddly enough one of the beds was short-sheeted so we had to remake it before going to sleep. (Thankfully that was remedied on the second night of our stay.

Stayed on the fourth floor, over-looking the lobby/atrium. During our first night the noise from the bottom floor (lobby, restaurant, and bar) was dull hum...it gave you the feeling of living in the middle of the big city because you could faintly hear music and some soft mumbling from conversations. The second night was a completely different story!

There were two different conferences being held in the hotel during our stay and boy, do those attendees love the night life! They filled the bar and restaurant area, as is to be expected, but from our room the women's chatter and laughter sounded like packs of hyenas. The men weren't much better because they sounded like a bunch of chimps and orangutans. And they were all at it until well past 11:30 p.m. If you think all that noise would make it difficult to sleep, YES IT DOES! I would start to drift off to sleep and then be jolted awake by someone who laughed so loud it was almost like they were right at my window! At one point it was like Santa Claus was standing outside my window "ho-ho-ho-ing". It made me very glad we were leaving the next morning. My family and I wouldn't be able to handle the noise for more than one night. Running the fan helped drown out some of the noise, but honestly, I felt like I shouldn't have had to do that. (Plus it made us all wake up with dry mouth syndrome!) A shame really, because it really was a downer during an otherwise nice stay.

Not sure if we'd stay again, especially with so many other hotels in the area. If we do, I will request a room on the quieter side of the hotel and hope that there is one!

(Oh, didn't try the restaurant in the hotel, but there are also plenty of places to eat around the area!)

Room Tip: If you value a quiet night's sleep ask if there are conferences being held during your stay and...

Went back to see if anything had changed/improved.... sorry to say it hasn't. Hotel is ok but really nothing great. Rooms are bland and really looking tired.... still long lines for breakfast. The gym is ok but again pool areas are nothing great either.

The service is good and people are polite and helpful.... Will stay again just because it's convenient to where I need to be when in Anaheim.... otherwise no real reason to go there.

I was here last year and staying in another hotel, as well as at the Hyatt. I must say, it's the best one around this area. Big, Nice looking, good and professional services, good beds and the restaurant is very Nice as well. Tuscan restaurant serves the best breakfast plates of Anaheim area.

We stayed here for our honeymoon last year. It is the first (and only!) time we have been married and we had heard many tales of couples getting perks from luxury hotels on their honeymoon. We decided to play it cool as the fact we were on honeymoon was on our paperwork. When we checked in we were disappointed as it was obvious they were only just allocating our room then so we didn't get any special touches in our room etc. However, this didn't detract from a lovely stay and we realised by chance on our last night that we were actually facing the disneyland park because we could see all the fireworks and the "snow mountain". We ate dinner at La Tusca the first night and it was amazing. There was so much food and our initial disappointment was compensated because they had arranged strawberries dipped in chocolate for my birthday and we were given a slice of the house special pistachio cake even though we couldn't eat anymore. We also had a sharing platter as we booked online and this was amazing! Our waiter was superb! When we are breakfast there a few days later the staff remembered us and asked how our honeymoon was going, it was a lovely personal touch. The only thing we were close to was Disney but we knew that before we went so a car is a must-start early and you avoid the traffic. We had an amazing time and would stay here again. Ooh we loved watching the sun rise in the outdoor hot tub!!

Amazing hotel. I was there for a conference and had a wonderful stay. Everything there was what you would look for in a hotel. The food at the restaurants was excellent (although a little expensive) but it had a Starbucks which more than made up for needing a fix and quick breakfast in the AM.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

Our family of 2 adults and 4 children aged 12, 10, 10 and 5 stayed at the Hyatt Orange County for 8 nights mid January 2014. This was our 4th visit to Disney but our first visit to a hotel not in walking distance. We have stayed at Disney Grand Californian, Fairfield Inn Marriott, Park Vue Inn and on the same trip Carousel Inn as I was not impressed at all with Park Vue. We LOVED the Hyatt and will definitely not hesitate in booking it again when we next visit Disneyland. That is the first time I have found a hotel to return to in Anaheim. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant at the counter, via telephone and email prior to our arrival. We booked the 2 bedroom queen rooms which was fantastic for our family - large lounge room, main bedroom with king and ensuite, and another bedroom with 2 queen beds and a bathroom. Loved the fact that the hotel was quiet which allowed us all to sleep in each morning unlike the neighbouring hotels at Disney which have people running past your room all hours making it harder to sleep. The bus service to Disney was a self help machine at the Hyatt bus stop. Enter the number of adult ticket and number of days and you pay via credit card. 5 day is discounted to the price of 4. $5 per day per person 11 and over. We did think about a taxi which with a tip would be $8 - $10 each way but as it was only $15 each day for our family it was good value and you could easily work on their 30 minute shuttle times. If you have time to spare - grab a coffee for Starbucks before going on the bus - otherwise Starbucks are also located in Disney and California adventure. Room service was good and prices were average. Kids menu was very reasonable. We did try to eat at the restaurant one night but due to the namm convention taking place there was a 30 min wait for a table - likewise at other adjoining restaurants. Target across the road - so purchase a pram for $30 instead of hiring from Disney at $15 per day. Also across the road is a laundromat which enabled us to catch up on washing before returning home. Book direct with the hotel for the best rate and always check the suites on sale rate - we got our room for $259 per night plus tax which was great for a family of 6 (would have cost more across the road in a 2 star motel/hotel with 2 adjoining rooms). We look forward to returning to Hyatt Orange County in a few years

Room Tip: Suites on sale - queen suite for 6-8 people

I enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. It's a big hotel with lots of amenities for kids to enjoy. They even have Disney movies playing in their lounge with children's furniture for their small guests.

Rooms were comfy- clean and modern, just the way I like it! There was also a small fridge and microwave which was convenient. Staff were friendly and housekeeping did great at keeping our rooms clean and tidy. Parking is not cheap and self-parking is a ways away from the main elevators. Shuttle is conveniently available for purchase and it's $7pp.

Its great that they have a Starbucks attached to the hotel for all those coffee lovers!

I would definitely recommend this hotel for families!
