“Great Place to stay with a family”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

We stayed here for 5 nights in July 2013. We booked a kids suite room for our family of four and it was perfect for us. Huge room, large bathroom and a separate sleeping area with enormous bunk beds for our daughters, 14 & 11. The girls had lots of space and their own tv and could access the bathroom without disturbing us, perfect. The hotel is big, it has several restaurants which we did not use as there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. The onsite Starbucks was great though, open from 6am to 11pm, fantastic for early morning tea or a hot drink on returning from Disney. Disney is about 5mins away by car, Universal Studios should be an hour but factor in the awful L.A. traffic, it took us 2 hours! The hotel pool is small for this size hotel but was clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the hotel keycards kept failing, we had to get them recharged several times, quite annoying when returning late in the evening. Apart from that, the hotel was great, we could even enjoy the Disney fireworks every night from our room! Would definitely recommend.

We spent four nights at the Hyatt for a conference. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We all thought the beds were very comfortable.

The WiFi was terrible. It is free with your room, but I kept getting kicked off. This happened to everyone I spoke to, so it wasn't my phone. Maybe there were too many people using it due to the conference?

We had lunch at the restaurant/bar downstairs and the food was surprisingly very good.

We had to pay $5 a person for the shuttle to Disney. It runs every half hour until 1 am.

The parking lot is behind the hotel, it is $16 per day, but you can go in and out as you want. There was always plenty of parking.

There are two pools and an outdoor basketball court. The pools are nothing fancy, but were fine for the kids to swim around. There is a hot tub in the one on the ground floor.

My check in and out was very quick.

Room Tip: Try and avoid rooms by the ice machine, it is really loud.

This hotel is nice for going to Disneyland. There is a free bus that will take you there from just outside the hotel lobby and it's free. The food in the lobby is okay if you are very hundry and don't want to go outside. There is a Target not too far from the hotel.
The Starbucks is good for breakfast.

We are glad to hear that you enjoy the hotel’s location to Disneyland, as well as our convenient Disneyland shuttle service. The cost for the shuttle is now $5 per person for unlimited access, and goes directly to and from the parks without making any stops. This is a change we made last year, but most of our guests prefer the quickness and convenience of this service over the previous option. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope you will visit us again soon!

This is the third time we have stayed at this property and it never fails us. We stayed here due to its proximity to the Disney parks. The hotel was remodeled 18 months ago and still looks brand new. The rooms are are not very large but if you are there for Disney, you won't be spending much time in them anyway. We had a "kids suite" that is suited great for a family of 5. There is a bunk bed in one room with a master king in another. The bottom bed of the bunk bed is a full bed and easily sleeps two kids. The major drawback here is that the restroom is located in the kid's room. The restroom is very small and only has one sink. The hotel has a pool and fitness center that are both less than average for a Hyatt Regency but again, most people aren't there for the pool. The lobby is very well appointed with plenty of space to mingle, eat, drink, etc. One major change versus the last time we stayed here is that the Hyatt now charges $5 per person, per day, for their shuttle to the parks. That would have cost us $15 so we elected to use the Disney parking lots for our parking.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has a view of the lobby atrium.

This hotel feels like a Mini city. The lobby is open up to the 21 st floor with lots of light giving it a cheerful feeling. The restaurant, Starbucks, gift shop bar, make it lively. Check in at night was a little slow, and several other in our group felt the checkin was not as seamless as it could be.
Or room on the 21 st floor was wonderful. Loved the walk in closet, oversized bathroom and granite counters. The bed was comfortable. And if you are going to Disney the shuttles are great as well as opportunity to have a bus take you to the beach or shopping for a Reasonable fee.
The pool I went to was not overly impressive but it had plenty of chairs and umbrellas.
I would stay here again!

We recently stayed at this hotel after before heading over to Disneyland.

Positives: We had dinner at the TusCA restaurant was surprisingly very good. The Fish was cooked very well and the wait staff was VERY attentive. We had dinner there on July 20 in the evening. We also had a great view from our 16th floor room so that was nice. Staff was also very friendly.

Negatives: We had a Smoking Room, which was a bit disappointing. We got the room via Priceline but had requested a non-smoking room. The pool was way too small for such a large hotel.

Thank you for the feedback! We are glad that you found the hotel convenient for your Disneyland trip, and enjoyed the staff and TusCA restaurant. We are sorry to hear that you were placed in a smoking room, as this is not the standard of accommodations for the hotel. We do have two outdoor pools on property, although one may have been closed for repairs during your visit, so we apologize for that. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to have you back as our guests again!

Just recently returned from a 3 night stay at the Hyatt. The hotel was wonderful, we had a suite and it was big, clean and comfortable. The bar downstairs had happy hour drinks and the drinks were very tasty especially after a long day at the park. The hotel has 2 pools and a basketball court. I just wish they would have had a waiter by the pool, I couldnt leave the kids and really needed a cocktail! The hotel offers a shuttle to the park for a fee of 5.00 per day for adults, kids ride free.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
