Woodrose has the best breakfast around; excellent coffee, organic products, the food is well prepared, but pricey

We always stop because we love the omelettes. It has become a good habit as it is consistently good.

Yes, you have to wait awhile, but the is often the case on the North Coast. It isn't a rush sort of region. Breakfast omelettes are tasty and come in large portions with home fries. Oatmeal was substantial and very good.

The food here is really good. Weak points are slow to serve when over half full in occupancy and slightly overpriced. You can forgive the overpricing because you are in the middle of nowhere. But the slow to serve is another thing. The problem is that the kitchen is very small and you've got two people back there doing their best but a 25-30 minute wait for food when half or more busy can be expected. The food was good. Omelets better than Eggheads in Fort Bragg. Carrot juice fresh squeezed but 4.95 for a small glass. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area. It alone is a good reason to stop in Garberville. It's the small town the Portland OR is pretending to be. Very eccentric and cool.

The first clue of a history for this place was the older woman with the Joan Baez t-shirt. From the photo on the wall it appeared she was one of the owners. She even had a signed photo of Joan. It appeared to be the place that all the town locals ate, that is why my husband said we should eat there. I was disappointed and maybe the locals get better treatment than the folks passing thru. It has a healthy menu, lots of organic things. Their one cook, was working his butt off to keep up, I guess that's why my husbands waffle (the special of the day) was burnt, but they served it to him anyway. My food was OK but expensive for what you got.
