This is specifically a review of Kendall Jackson's anual Heirloom Tomato Festival they hold each September on their property in Fulton. The wife and I joined their wine club earlier this year and were excited to book our timeshare right up the road and join friends to experience this event. We were blown away at the emence size of the event....I would guess 3 to 4 thousand strong crowds....many many restaurant and specialty food vendors with top chefs competing for top honors creating foods with tomatos. We spent all afternoon sampling fantastic wines and foods to the point of misery. Our guests are in agreement that we want to make this a yearly pilgamage as they do a fantastic job here......thanks KJ.

We were late arriving at the winery. So everything was a rush. However, we were able to get in and taste some wines.

Friendly atmosphere, great service, nice tour, and great wine. Oh yeah, nice building! I ended up buying a $125/bottle red wine. Will definitely come back for a longer visit.

Once walked in the building, the staffs were helpful and friendly. There were outdoor dinning party going on. The food looked great, the atmosphere was pleasant. Food and wine would never go wrong! It was a pleasant winery to visit!

I've always loved KJ wines. We did the tasting - with Frank- what a nice man! He was very informative about the wines, very educational. We tasted alot of the wines - all very good. The estate wines were fablous and we ended up joining the wine club. The grounds and building are beautiful. Looking forward to being a KJ wine club member.

We started our visit to Kendall-Jackson Winery with a tour of the wine demonstration garden where we saw (and could taste-test) about 20 different varieties of grapes, followed by a tour of their flower garden and their new, expanded vegetable & herb garden. We then did the Wine and Food Pairing - very good pairings of food and wines; an absolute highlight of our trip to Sonoma. Good to plan about 3 hours to do this comfortably. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly. The sweat tea brined Niman Ranch Pork Belly Slider with Syrah BBQ Sauce, matched with the 2007 Highland Estates Alisos Hills Syrah was the top pairing in our book. The '09 Pinot Gris was also surprising good; so was the 2006 Highland Estates Merlot - smooth, full bodied. The pairing was $30 per person - a good deal.
