I do not go to Heroes for their bar scene. We usually go in the daytime or early evening. Great for large parties, famiies, or whatever you want then.
True, they have a great selection of beer (still no Lost Coast Great White though...). In my eyes, their food is king. I adore their Beef Brisket sandwich. Does not sound like anything special, so when we take friends or family that hasn't gone to Heroes yet, I make them try mine. They always get it the next time they go. I prefer it with cheddar cheese over provlone, but I would not turn it down. Ginormous amount of curly fries. It rocks! Also had a fabulous chili size. Went for breakfast before and they serve an unbelieveable size of pancake. The kind you need to take a picture of. The size of dinner plates. I think it came with 5. It was pure comedy to see it served. You get it for free if you eat it all.
Their shortcoming is certainly organization. There is a front and back door, with the wait of people usually waiting the south door. You don't seat yourself, and you usually have to wait a while for someone to help you, which is frustrating. Especially when you see staff pass by without acknowledgement. We have even left before because of this. They certainly need a better system, though I don't see one being implemeted soon.
