FIRST OFF: You can smoke in designated area only, both types. Security Guard let me know about the other the day before I was leaving, since I was a bit scared to ask staff. They are friendly though.
Ok, on the the Review.
When we got there the room did have a bit of a odor, but is something I have experienced before at hotels that are this old. The room was great and the bed comfortable, but the pillows will drive you crazy. Mainly since I think someone beat the crap out of them and forced all the fluff into one side. They are normal size pillows once you beat it back to its shape, but OMG they were about the size of a throw pillow. Since the staff beat them to a pulp. Kinda saying that they either need new pillows or just make sure to bring your own if you are able to. I wish I had packed only a suitcase for my pillows. I would have maybe slept better. The bed to me was comfortable and that is saying something about me. I never really sleep good on hotel beds, but if the pillows had not been how they were. It may have made the experience better. So, even though my bed was comfy, I would say that the room I got was a lucky one to have. Now, the blackout curtains do need to be replaced.Since our were shabby, but we were able to make do. When it comes to the plugs, do not stick anything into the wall. I found that out when I tried to plug anything in the wall plugs. Use only the plugs that are provided on the lamp. Since they to me felt more safer to do. Now, the one thing that really did bring the trip a bit down, was the breakfast. Something that I found so stupid. Now you will receive tickets for breakfast to turn in and eat. Yes, you heard me. You will get a ticket for how many mornings you will be there. To be able to get breakfast. Which means, YOUR ENTIRE PARTY HAS TO SHOW. Since, they will not allow you back in after you gave them the paper. Making no damn sense. So, if one person from the room went down with the paper to eat breakfast and turned it in. The others from the room cannot show up later, they have to show up all together. I ate there twice, but I was just not impressed. The breakfast was very disappointing and really offered what it seemed not many options. NO PANCAKES, NO BACON, NO EGG WHITES, NO CREAM CHEESE- which I think you could have bought at the gift shop within the lobby, NO MENU FOR WHAT WAS SERVED DAILY OR WHAT THEY SERVED DURING THE WEEK. This would have made eating there a not so surprise of WTF was being served.
