For a while, I wasn't too interested in going back to Cafe Rousseau, however recently something very good has happened. The food is fabulous. We started with the tasty olive tapanade served with a fresh baquette. I ordered the Petite Filet (medium rare) and mushroom ravioli. The steak was deliciously seasoned, served with a sun-dried tomato butter and perfectly cooked. The mushroom ravioli was incredible. My daughter ordered the yummy Stuffed Steak medium and it too came out perfectly cooked. We asked for the spinach in place of the daily vegetable and it came delicately sauted with just a hint of garlic. The French onion soup is still the best in town. Most of the desserts are made on premises. Don't miss the cheesecake, Creme Brulee, or the mixed berry pie ala mode.
Our server, Vivian was attentive, friendly and made dining at Cafe Rousseau a happy experience. Be sure to ask for her.
The "full service" bar still runs out of call brands of liquor, otherwise I would have given them an excellent rating. Jack Daniels should be a staple and always on hand.
