Wow! This hotel was very nice for the price. The rooms are very large, with comfortable beds and a nice area with a couch, chair and desk. The complimentary breakfast was also better then average. The food was fresh and warm and many different choices were offered. Would definetly stay here again.

Stayed here for one week during September 07, was working up in Madera but with so little to do there after work decided to stay in Fresno.

The hotel is located 5 minutes from the malls and restaurants dotted along Shaw, so plenty of choice in the evening for food. Right next door is a MacDonalds.

The rooms were spacious and well kept and mine had a fridge and microwave. Free wireless internet access too.

The staff were always courteous and very helpful in recommending local places to go. Yosemite is around 2.5 hours drive so you could stay here if visiting the park.

Overall fairly standard HI Express fare and would stay here again if I'm in the region.

We were down in Fresno for a sporting event and this was a good hotel to stay at. Very clean and new. Excellent continental breakfast in the morning. Located right off of Highway 99 (the major north-south freeway in the Central Valley). Located conveniently on Shaw Avenue which is the major drag through Fresno and Clovis and it hits the other freeways in town (168, 41). CSU Fresno is also located off of Shaw. Overall, a good place to stay if you happen to be in Fresno.

This is much like the other Holiday Inn Expresses dotting the landscape along Highway 99 in California. It is very accessible from the freeway, just a single turn off the offramp. It has plenty of parking and a couple of gas stations within a couple hundred feet. I've stayed here twice. Once with my family on a long trip back from Disneyland and once within the last few weeks to visit family. The first time the room was very small for three people; barely enough room to walk past the beds and a small window. This last time was much better. I got a large room with plenty of space, a refrigerator, microwave and a wet bar (without the alcohol). There are no good views. The neighborhood is not the best. The hotel is bounded by a school playground, gas stations and another hotel. The bed was just okay, not too soft, nor too firm. There must have been eight pillows on the two beds. The shower head was unlike any I have seen before. You need to use both hands to adjust the spray. One hand to hold and one hand to turn. The continental breakfast is typical Holiday Inn Express fare: Costco muffins, bagels, cereal, hard boiled eggs, some fruit and sticky buns.

We paid additional money at this hotel for a business class room because our experience has been that these are the only rooms at Days Inn fit to stay in. We checked in late (1am) and were very tired.

Upon entering the room, we heard the shower running - - NOT DRIPPING....RUNNING. It sounded like someone was taking a shower! On investigation, we found that the faucet was running.... we managed to slow it.... but it NEVER stopped. Let me emphasize that it was NOT DRIPPING...this was a gusher. If it weren't for the airconditioner noice and closing the bathroom door....we would have been kept up all night.

In the morning when I went to shower, I discovered ROACHES!!! Yes..... ROACHES in the bathroom. It was sooooo disgusting! In the morning was when we were able to really see how big of a dive this place was. You didn't even want to have bare feet on the carpet! My advice if you want to stay here...is BRING YOUR RAID! KEEP YOUR SHOES ON! AND A PLUMBERS WRENCH. This place is ROCK bottom. With tax....we paid $87.00!!!!! It was as bad or worse than Motel 6! Sleep in your car before tossing away $87 to sleep with roaches!

  • Liked — Leaving in the morning!
  • Disliked — Roaches, dirty carpet, inept night clerk, bad plumbing
  • Tips/Secrets — Don't stay here!!!

We had a one night stop over in this hotel and found it very good value and adequate for our needs. The rooms are big and well decorated and the breakfast included in the price was very good. The reception staff were brusque at first, but helpful when we needed directions, I think she was just a bit hassled at first. I would definately stay at this hotel again, but not in Fresno!!

Our group travelled to Fresno for a basketball tournament. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and courteous. We arrived in Fresno early and were allowed to settle into our rooms early. Our rooms were very large with a small kitchen area that had bottled water chilled in the fridge as well as a microwave. The lobby was large with comfy couches and chairs. The breakfast area was much larger than most hotels. They even opened up the dining area in the evening so our group could enjoy a pizza dinner. The area was obviously cleaned and ready for the next days breakfast, so out of gratitude, we made sure it was returned to the same condition as before our dinner. Here is the best part, the morning breakfast was wonderful. There were warm cinnamon rolls, bisquits and gravy, hard boiled eggs, waffles, cereals, bagels, muffins, large assorment of fresh fruits, several types of juices, milks - fat free, 1%, 2% and regular, even several types of coffee. I am sure I've left something out, but everyone was happy and no one left hungry. The staff made sure all items were restocked quickly and the food was just plain yummy. The hotel is located near anything you could ever need. Resturaunts, movie theater, shopping, even the underground gardens are close enough to walk to. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit Fresno.
