Tried this restaurant based on the excellent recommendation of a friend, now I figure he must not have eaten here for many years. The bar pub atmosphere was expected, but the food is served cafeteria style which clashed with the pub. You take a tray and order and your food is dished up and handed to you. The food-serving area seemed old and not very tidy, and the guy serving up the food was kind of surly. The girl at the register, though, was very friendly. I had the pastrami plate...the pastrami was ok but had lots of gristle. My wife had the beef plate...the beef was extremely rare and very gristly, both meals were cold and the knives were too dull to cut the meat. The best thing I can say is the location is convenient and the potato salad was outstanding. I agree with the reviewer who said this place needs new blood to breath life into it...it seems very tired and getting by on reputation.
