This hotels is not The Quality Inn ofr Fresno. The new owners changed the name to The Ashland Inn and you won't know that until ypu arrive at the hotel. We stayed one day out of the two days we booked there. The hotels was dirty and nothing worked. The light over the sink went off and on all night. The maintenance man could not fix until the next day. The room look like it hadn't been cleaned all week. We picked up a pillow and found strands of hair on the sheet. But the last straw was finding roaches running around in the bathroom. We asked and asked to be moved and the hotel staff and front desk manager could not help us. I have never seen a hotel this bad.

Room Tip: Make sure what is pictured on web sight is the attual way the Hotels looks like.

We had a lovely stay here - and were upgraded on arrival which was an added bonus. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was good and the cleanliness was of a very high standard. The hotel is in a perfect location - far enough away from the center of the town to be very peaceful yet near enough to get anywhere easily. The views are unbelievably beautiful and it is well worth taking a ferry trip up / down the lake. The only slight drawback was wi-fi access which was patchy and unpredictable. We did not take advantage of either the fitness center or the swimming pool - given the standard of the meals, we probably should have done!

Room Tip: Service are excellent. Sleep quality are quite good. Excellent clean service. Room location are not...

Air conditioning went out in car and we needed a place to spend the night while it was repaired. This hotel fit that bill. The room was nice and cool and clean, I'm confused about the other reviews I see on here, perhaps they were thinking this is supposed to be a luxury hotel? The wifi did not work so well, but kicking back and relaxing to a movie was great. There is a restaurant next door that is apparently voted best of Fresno and once you visit, you'll see why, it literally made my bad day fabulous. The desk clerk was also super friendly and helpful and tried to reset the wifi for us.

Stayed here for one night while passing through from Yosemite. Big mistake...the rooms are very dated and poorly maintained. Old drapes that barely closed, noisyAC, furniture and carpet in need of replacement. This is the kind of place you are afraid to stay in because you might take some bugs home, or get sick from. Very disappointed with everything there including management.
Do yourself a favor and drive to another city to stay. BEWARE AND BE WARNED

Room Tip: Don't stay there don't even ask

AVOID at all costs. I have stayed here once before and only because it is convenient to business accounts I call on. It is dated and poorly managed. I thought I could stay there again for 1 night because of convenience but the counter person required my credit card billing address!?! Called it company policy?!? I had 4 pieces of ID all in my name, California drivers license, credit card, AAA card and a choice privileges card (chain card for a number of hotels with Quality Inn being one of them).

I have stayed in 5 other Quality Inns in the last 10 days and no one else asked for that information! 3 in Nevada and 2 in California.

Here is the problem, if you give them your billing information then there is nothing to stop them from going on ANY website and buying products or services or worse yet SELLING the information to anyone they want!!! Am I paranoid......not in todays world of credit card fraud.

So I refused to provide that information and the guy behind the counter said I could call customer service but they would say the same thing he told me and he would still charge me for a "no show"!

I called customer service and they called the hotel on my behalf and THEY were told by the counter guy the same thing!!! Bottom line is just avoid the potential credit fraud and headache and go ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

I did go somewhere else that night and it was another Quality Inn about 5 miles away and they did NOT ask for any billing information. The room was nice and the lady behind the counter was even nicer.

As I write this the issue is still pending but both the hotel chain and my credit card company have said that they will be involved on my behalf until it is resolved.
