We hadn't visited Chevy's recently, but decided to try it for dinner with kids & grand-kids (party of seven, which was not the largest group). The service was slow, even for drinks (two trips -- trays have not been invented!) Some refills came w/o asking; but mostly by waiting and asking. There seemed to be too few servers on duty for the amount of tables. At times, servers seemed to spend lots of time walking back and forth in a confused manner (manager included).
The food was OK on balance: Fajitas were good (once I got some tortillas!); but the rice was dry and lumpy (sitting too long?). The "Mexican Hat Trick" meal combo is a pretty good value. The tortilla soup was truly delicious; and I enjoyed the mini-flan.
Note: If you have a noisy party, it won't stand out (which is why we went w/ the kids). They have lots of selections; especially for the kids.
