A small zoo, Fresno offers a more personal experience than many larger institutions. eepers are always willing to talk and explain the animals . Mae a great break from the heat and dust of the valley.

I love the care and obvious enjoyment that the staff has toward their animals. The time and effort that goes into the exhibits and the animals really shines through. It's immaculately clean, and super family friendly. Great little zoo.

It's a wonderful regional zoo for kids! Parking is easy, entrance fees reasonable, lots of interesting animals and birds, nice places to sit in the shade. The new sea lion exhibit is super, with viewing areas above the surface, at waterline, and underwater. Feeding the giraffes leaves, holding up the kids so the giraffe's long tongue laps the leaves out of their hand, delights them. And always the elephants, so grand! It is worth a whole day. And take a few minutes to visit Rotary Playland, just across the parking lot, after the zoo for a ride on the carousel and train.

I'm not a fan of zoos, but this was a lot of fun, and a lot better than I expected. The admission was very reasonable and it's a pretty big zoo. Lots to see, we got there right after they opened the new sea lion habitat, it was a lot of fun to watch, if not for the heat we would have just watch them and the moneys for hours. Also you can feed giraffes.
