A colleague recimmended this restaurant (which has 2 locations in San Francisco and another one in Dublin CA) so we decided to give it a try. It is located in a strip mall close to downtonw Fremont. I was not prepared to find out it is not your standard restauran: you seat yourself, then go up to the counter to place your order. It is a large room with many tables with chairs so you just grab an empty one. There is no meun board but there is a stack of huge paper menus on the counter. After figuring that out, we picked a few dishes from the extensive menu, including a curried goat Karahi, Nihari (beef shank), naan. They bring food to your table promptly.
The food is delicious, and the curry is very hot. There is no provision for different degrees of hotness. The beef is very tender, practically melts in your mouth but is very spicy. The goat meat (my first time consuming goat) was cut in cubes and was cooked in a spicy curry. The texture is rougher than pork, but is very tender and tasty. The naan was piping hot, very big, and hand made, one of 4 varieties on the menu. They do catering as well.
Price is very reasonable ($1 for each huge naan). The food is very tasty as long as you can handle spicy food. We would come back.
