I think it is a nice place to walk around alone with your thoughts, may be have a meditation on one of those hills. I saw some people having BBQ or lunch in the designated areas. Quiet and peaceful place but a bit windy.
Nice small museum showing the history of local Indian tribes.
5$ a car admission

It is a small trek which takes 30 mins to climb though not a tough one..but not for old age people who can't walk much...u get an unobstructed view from top with sitting arrangements nicely done on top ..view is not fantabulous but worth while..u can pay $5 n park inside or can park half a mile out for free and walk..walk from outside free parking is surrounded by mustard plants.. ddlj movie scene..overall nice evening or morning get away place..mind u restrooms are in very bad shape..

I have been here once and it was a very pretty hike. The over looked a marshland and fremont. There are many trails to choose to hike. Some trails have very steep hills. Personally I do not like hiking, but this was an enjoyable hike.

I have been coming here for years with my family. There are many intersecting trails here - some wind between the hills, (which you can easily view on flights coming to the San Francisco/San Jose/Oakland area from the east), some are flat through marshland, & some wind along the western rim of the hills overlooking the SF Bay. There is a good variety of things to see here, especially if you keep your eyes open. You can get peace, relaxation & exercise here. During the Feb-April months, you will likely see many wildflowers - these may disappear once housing construction starts nearby. If you don't want the pay the small amount to park within the park, park outside the gate for free.

I've been coming here for years and it is still a great park. Coyote Hills Regional Park is a very nice park to spend a couple of hours in. It offers various hiking trails of different difficulty levels. There are also bird watching opportunities especially between the ponds. Biking is another possibility in this park, there are several paved trails and unpaved ones for mountain biking. You can have a view of the SFO bay from the trails and there is a board walk between the ponds. There is a nice visitor center with a shaded picnic area. The park also features some history about the local Ohlone Indians.
