So, to be fair, this hotel is quite a way from SFO, so one can only assume that the only reason they even HAVE a shuttle is to be competitive. So, as I arrived in the evening, the shuttle had apparently just left SFO, so I had to wait 40 minutes for it to return. On the return, it is scheduled to leave at the top of each hour, so I was downstairs at 6:50, and the shuttle left at 6:53. Fine by me, but I heard one of his three hotels (it is a shared shuttle) call on his radio to say that he had more 7:00 passengers, and he wouldn't turn around to get them, despite having left seven minutes early. I would have been livid.
All that said, the hotel is clean, pleasant and in a nice area. Foster City is already upscale, and the hotel is surrounded by a business park and mall. Not much open to eat late in the evening, however, there is a sports bar in the mall which stays open until midnight - it was adequate.
The front desk staff is very friendly, and really, that goes a long way with me, I think had they been even the LEAST bit insolent, this would be a two circle review rather than four.
Breakfast was ... well ... no more and no less than what one would expect. Sausage patties, eggs, potatoes, assortments of breads and cereal and juice. No high end chef, but certainly fine for a busy morning.
If you do elect to stay here, make sure that you map this hotel, so you can see where Foster City is relative to the airport; on a weekday morning, in traffic, the journey is about 30 minutes.
Finally, about the rooms: finally a hotel design that GETS IT! The bathroom door is a conventional door rather than a sliding design, the internet is strong and fast, and the room of ample size. Like so many hotels these days, the TV must be satellite, since the picture pixellates; that can be frustrating. I do wish the standard was cable and not satellite. Sigh. Overall, a more than reasonable place to stay.

I stayed here for 4 nights (from Thursday, April 5th - Monday, April 9th 2018) in preparation for pre/post surgery at a local hospital with Dr. Joel Beck with my mom who flew in from LA.

It was a great experience, especially given the price, and the location is unbeatable, especially for business/medical purposes (it's about 15 minutes away by car from the airport, and similarly as close to downtown San Mateo).

As other people mentioned, the hotel is super new, so the rooms are spacious, the internet is fast, the breakfast is good, and the staff is super accommodating and friendly. My mom, as a Platinum member of Marriott, loves to stay at Marriott properties, and definitely has high standards and expectations to boot.

From the housekeeping services to Dan, the front desk manager, everyone was super prompt and perceptive to our needs. This hotel exemplifies what Marriott hospitality is all about.

This hotel is new and very modern. The room was good size and had comfortable beds with nice modern décor. The room had a small studio kitchen area with cooktop stove, dinnerware for four, dishwasher, large fridge, microwave, coffee maker and ironing board with iron. The bathroom had a large shower area that did not include bathtub, so it was easy to get in and out. All room areas were clean and being new it was nicely maintained. The hotel does provide a buffet breakfast that comes with a nice selection of food choices and the food quality is about average.
The hotel staff was friendly, attentive and provided excellent service. The hotel does offer shuttle service to SFO and it runs on the hour. This hotel is about miles 9 miles from airport and 15 minute ride to airport. Overall experience with this hotel was very good and I will stay again when in this area.

Our family stayed two nights and enjoyed a very comfortable stay. Our room had full kitchen - fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher as well as a table with 2 chairs and 2 benches. The beds were very comfortable, wifi was great and shower water pressure was good.

Breakfast was great both days, loved the tables in the breakfast area with charging stations.

There were a number of stores and restaurants in the surrounding area - Panera for example in walking distance across the parking lot as well as a pizza joint. Access to highway was good, was not hard to find.

Hotel seems new and staff is very attentive - they remembered you after they checked you in and spoke as you went past - very friendly and approachable staff.

Would recommend for future stays.

I appreciated the cute kitchen where I cooked dinner every night thanks also to the proximity of Target groceries. Really clean and new with nice staff. Also they have blenders on loan!so we could have our daily green smoothie.
