Yes, it's a chain, and yes, you know exactly what to expect when you get there.
Chevy's serves good and ample Tex-Mex foods, and tasty too. I somehow doubt this is "authentic" Mexican cuisine, but as long as you realize what you're in for, it's a good place to go.
Bar scene is lively. Waterside views that they take full advantage of, and you should too if they give you that choice. Outdoor seating as well.
Since this is buried in a shopping center it isn't the easiest to find. Sadly, this end of the parking lot seems always crowded, especially at dinner time or happy hours, so while you can find parking always, you may need to walk a bit.
A good standby for a party, drinks with friends, or the not too imaginative but satisfying meal.
