“Idyllic time out”
Reviewed November 10, 2013 via mobile

We stopped for a late lunch and were delighted with our calamari, which was just dusted in flour and flash fried, served with honey mustard dipping sauce that had a nice bit of heat.

We shared a Caesar salad with dungeness crab cakes. These weren't lump crab meat but they were very light on filler and nicely seasoned. Our waiter Daniel was perfect--there when you needed him

The view onto the harbor was gorgeous and we were entertained by a pair of seals catching fish. Lovely and peaceful.

They have a good selection of lot cal beer on tap plus many others in bottles as well as a good wine list.

“Mediocre food, Lovely Setting”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

You would think sitting in this lovely setting watching the fishing boats come and go and smelling the ocean breeze that you would get FRESH seafood...nope. The oysters were out of jars and tasted like it and the fish in the tacos was not fresh at all altho the tacos themselves were really tasty which helped hide the mediocre flavor of the fish...they would have been really good with fresh fish. Frozen french fries with no flavor at all. Disappointing lunch. Won't go back. And bad on us for not sending the lousy oysters back. when we complained when paying the bill, the manager said he would tell the owner..whoopee!

“Ok, liked the "Old" Wharf Restaurant better”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

It had been awhile since I was in Fort Bragg and I always enjoyed going to the Wharf Restaurant for their clam chowder and other menu items. It has apparently changed hands, and the food is a little different. The menu is similar, with the addition of Mexican food. I liked the old restaurant better. The service was excellent and the prices reasonable, considering you are on the water in a tourist location

“Beach dog heaven”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

Had a wonderful meal on the deck at sunset with our pooches. The wait staff provided us with fresh drinking water and lots of ear rubs for our beach dogs, who were absolutely welcome to join us at "The Wharf" (as locals seem to call it). We started with the steamers, then we had a couple of small plates for dinner, including the crab cakes and ceasar salad. We ended with the fresh berry cobbler ala mode. Good food and a really nice outside deck. My only complaint was that it was a little pricey and at the end of the evening our wait staff kinda forgot about us.

“Excellent Combination of Seafood and Mexican”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

There is nothing like fresh seafood with a Mexican flair. The front desk clerk at our hotel recommended the quesidillas with seafood. I had mine made with the crab and they were awesome. This is not on the menu and I had to ask for them. My husband had the crabcakes and Caesar salad and he said that his were very good. The kids menu was enjoyed by our daughter.
