rooms are comfortable, ea has a balcony, and easy to hear, no AC never needed. the 500 and 600 bldgs have rooms that face the highway which is somewhat noisey in the early am 630am for a couple of hrs and then again from about 430pm for a couple hrs. and do not really have a ocean view maybe just a "partial" ocean veiw on the other side of the sand dune, but the 100s thru the 500s do have a view of the lagoon( or estuary) of the pudding creek. Beds nice comofrtable, pet firendly on some rooms. This property is on old style keys, you must open the entry door to the building and it also opens your room. We agree with most of the previous reviews that this property was a good buy for the area. This property is on the north side of Fort Bragg, with one more well known lodging property just across the street. We believe we would stay here again if the need arises.

Room Tip: If U get upstairs accomadations and have to lug luggage up stairs ask if a first floor room is available. the 600 bldg has 2 or 3 rooms upstairs.

Best place we stayed at on our vacation. Right off highway. .but yet no noise. Huge rooms..more like a condo. Beautiful view of estuary. Great balconies. Cute town. Right across from beach. No breakfast..but tons if places nearby.

We stayed at this hotel over Veteran's day weekend this month. It was a nice, clean and roomy hotel room with a nice view of the estuary. *It had good free wifi and a nice breakfast (with homemade muffins). I would have given this hotel a rating of 5 if it had not been for the toilet. It blocked up the first time in the afternoon, and the staff was very responsive and came to unblock it immediately. Then it happened again in the middle of the night. We decided to wait until the morning as it was not too serious yet - and we were too tired to deal with it. Unfortunately, when we got up early, the office was closed. They did not open until 9:30, so we ended up having to go to a restaurant to use a toilet. There is nothing worse than a blocked toilet! I think the hotel needs to re-work some of its plumbing.

I stayed at the Beach House Inn for one night while on businesss in Fort Bragg. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. Nice large table to be able to work on my computer. TV was on the smaller side . . . visit was during the World Series!!

Beautiful view of a lagoon. Most rooms had a balcony with a table and chairs.

My only issue was the road noise from Highway One. I love to have the window open to get fresh air and hear the ocean. Road noise was distracting.

Staff was nice, although the only interaction was when I checked in. I would recommend the Beach House Inn Motel.

Room Tip: In Building 100, 200 or 300. As far away from Highway 1 as possible!!

Attractive property across the road from the ocean/beach, offering a variety of room configurations in separate 2 story buildings. No elevator. We were walk-ins and picked a double queen room with estuary view from small balcony for $99 (mid-week special, reg. $139). The room and bathroom were large. But, the kitchen was IN THE BATHROOM. I've never seen this before: mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker were inside the bathroom. Hmmm. The TV was OK, not HD, using cable. Free WiFi worked fine.

It was clean, the bed was sort of soft, the heating worked well. Continental breakfast is only on week-ends, so get some OJ from the market to get started before heading out for breakfast.

Check in was quick, and the manager tried to steer us to an Italian restaurant for dinner, but we had planned on going into Mendocino. No tourist info in the room. The weather was dreary, drizzly, so we didn't use the balcony or go over to the beach. The property is at the North end of town, but it is an easy drive/walk to town for shopping, eating, etc.

This property was fine for one night. With nicer weather, the location and water views could be quite nice. I would give it 3+, if I could.

Room Tip: Several choices of room configurations and amenities, all priced differently. So, think about what you need/want: view, two beds, jacuzzi, fireplace, etc.
