We stayed at this hotel over Veteran's day weekend this month. It was a nice, clean and roomy hotel room with a nice view of the estuary. *It had good free wifi and a nice breakfast (with homemade muffins). I would have given this hotel a rating of 5 if it had not been for the toilet. It blocked up the first time in the afternoon, and the staff was very responsive and came to unblock it immediately. Then it happened again in the middle of the night. We decided to wait until the morning as it was not too serious yet - and we were too tired to deal with it. Unfortunately, when we got up early, the office was closed. They did not open until 9:30, so we ended up having to go to a restaurant to use a toilet. There is nothing worse than a blocked toilet! I think the hotel needs to re-work some of its plumbing.

I stayed at the Beach House Inn for one night while on businesss in Fort Bragg. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. Nice large table to be able to work on my computer. TV was on the smaller side . . . visit was during the World Series!!

Beautiful view of a lagoon. Most rooms had a balcony with a table and chairs.

My only issue was the road noise from Highway One. I love to have the window open to get fresh air and hear the ocean. Road noise was distracting.

Staff was nice, although the only interaction was when I checked in. I would recommend the Beach House Inn Motel.

Room Tip: In Building 100, 200 or 300. As far away from Highway 1 as possible!!

Attractive property across the road from the ocean/beach, offering a variety of room configurations in separate 2 story buildings. No elevator. We were walk-ins and picked a double queen room with estuary view from small balcony for $99 (mid-week special, reg. $139). The room and bathroom were large. But, the kitchen was IN THE BATHROOM. I've never seen this before: mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker were inside the bathroom. Hmmm. The TV was OK, not HD, using cable. Free WiFi worked fine.

It was clean, the bed was sort of soft, the heating worked well. Continental breakfast is only on week-ends, so get some OJ from the market to get started before heading out for breakfast.

Check in was quick, and the manager tried to steer us to an Italian restaurant for dinner, but we had planned on going into Mendocino. No tourist info in the room. The weather was dreary, drizzly, so we didn't use the balcony or go over to the beach. The property is at the North end of town, but it is an easy drive/walk to town for shopping, eating, etc.

This property was fine for one night. With nicer weather, the location and water views could be quite nice. I would give it 3+, if I could.

Room Tip: Several choices of room configurations and amenities, all priced differently. So, think about what...

My 70-year old mother comes to visit us regularly here on the Mendocino Coast, and she's stayed at lots of places around Fort Bragg and she said this is the best place she's stayed at. Conveniently located near the beach, just north of town. Nice rooms, and the have a BBQ if you are in the area for fishing or diving so you can cook your catch. Very reasonably priced, especially compared to some of the BnBs in the area. Rooms have a balcony overlooking Pudding Creek, and the beach is right across the street.

We enjoyed our stay very much at the Beach House. We had a king size bed with soaking tub which I filled full of bubbles :) great place to relax after a day of beach combing. Enjoyed the sunsets and sunrises from the balcony. While we didn't have an ocean view we didn't miss the people walking the trails and looking in on us when we stayed at the Hotels across the Hwy that face the ocean. The staff was very friendly and we will definitely be staying here again.

The manager was great. She had such a great sense of humor, which you don't always find any more. We had two rooms side by side. We had rooms overlooking the estuary however the tide was out and there were no birds visiting--not even a coot! We would return and would love to see the estuary full of birds to enjoy.

Most every thing in this area is on the highway so you get some day time road noise wherever you stay.We only visit the area on the weekdays for obvious reasons and never during the summer, this can be a heavily impacted tourist area. So night noise on weekdays is seldom a problem and this is a very well made building, especially compared to many of the older motels we have stayed at.This seems like a brand new building, clean and roomy.Micr/fridge and large bathroom.Central ac /heat so no noisy window unit.No breakfast on weekdays at this time of year, Dennys 5 min. walk south to get a "Grand Slam" to work off on the beach hike.Have stayed in area many times before and have never found a place this nice for anywhere near the 90 dollars we payed. It is easy to spend twice that amount in the area and not get a room anywhere near this nice but you could have a more direct beach access. Its still only a 5min. walk across highway to the beach.Very friendly staff and helpful with info. GREAT VALUE

Room Tip: Get a view room. the no view room can have a mechanical noise of some kind in the bathroom ceiling.
