Great, or I should say spectacular gardens on the motel grounds. Great price for an impeccable room. Three cheers for the owner of this motel.

Nothing fancy, but nothing wrong either. Rooms were big and clean if simple. This is a motel in the classic sense so don't get too excited. The only complaint I could make was that the windows were unlocked when we arrived and I almost didn't notice.

Very beautiful grounds with tables, flowers and dog area. Good location with stores nearby but not too close

We stayed one night at the Surf Motel & Gardens in Fort Bragg, CA. The motel is one story and the rooms have comfortable beds, small refrigerators & microwaves, plus powerful little built in hair dryers!. Plus all channel cable tv and free internet access in the lobby. A small continental breakfast of pastry, fresh fruit, orange drink and coffee is served. If you are still hungry, Macdonald's is a one minute walk on the same side of the street. It was quiet at night, even though a tour bus had come in, we didn't hear a sound. We watched the Giants baseball game in the comfort of our spacious room which also had a table and two chairs. The staff was warm and friendly. Amanda & Karen are so nice! I high recommend this motel. It is also a 5 minute drive from the Skunk train and they have a free Skunk Train shuttle at the motel too. One other plus is a shopping center on the same side of the street in the other direction. The Harvest Market is a beautiful market. It is like a department store and the most beautful one I've seen since Whole Foods. All in all the Surf Motel & Gardens is a real winner!. Rates were reasonable. Our room with Queen bed cost around $87 which included the AAA discount! They even have a built in wonderful dog run for man's best friend!

Our brother and sister-in -law joined us for a Holiday getaway. We brought our bikes so we could get around the town and enjoy the execise. The stay at the Surf was really nice. I enjoy the beautiful flowers that surround the Motel. the close walk to stores and eating places. The town was having a Labor Day celebration, so that made it nice to have a few extra things to do and see. This was my first time staying at this Motel. I liked it and would gladly stay here again.
