Owner description: Fort Bragg, CA, has the highest concentration of sea glass in the world. Founded by Capt. Cass Forrington, a retired former deep sea captain, who scours Fort Bragg’s three world famous glass beaches for their rare and beautiful treasures, the Sea Glass Museum is the world’s largest permanent sea glass display with over 3,000 artifacts on display. The Sea Glass Museum is one of the most popular and beautiful attractions on the Mendocino coast and is a must see for children of all ages! Even grumpy faces leave the museum smiling. Be sure to stop in before visiting the beaches to get directions to the best sea glass locations, not only in Fort Bragg, but all along the Mendocino coast.

A small museum with a lot of beautiful sea glass and beach glass. Very interesting if you like glass or sea glass jewelry. Reasonable donation to get in and not a big place. Worth the stop!

Very interesting and welcoming to our dogs. It was nice to see their efforts in replenishing the glass on Glass beach.

We visited Forth Bragg in June for a family vacation and stopped at Glass Beach. I noticed that there was a museum devoted to the history of this unusual beach so, not expecting a lot, we dropped by on our way out of town. It was a nice surprise to see that it was more than just a collection of beach glass. It was a very small (free) museum but gave a lot of information about the history and makeup of all of the things found on Glass Beach and sea glass in general. It did not take a long time to visit but I felt it added a lot to the trip.

It was so enjoyable to visit. One could take one's time looking at all the different glass pieces found, thinking of where it came from and what stories it could tell
