We are an Australian family travelling west USA, we stayed here for 1 night on way to San Fran. Room was clean and comfortable with two double beds. Well priced for area, we paid around $70 for night. There is a restaurant on site, sells hamburgers, general american cusine, reasonalbly priced. Overall I would recomend this hotel, we felt safe. The young lady on check in was helpful and friendly.

Great value for a wonderful motel right on California's Coast Hwy 1. Very close to the Glass Beach which was fun and even a Raw Food Culinary School where we had a delicious lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again, if we ever get back to Northern California.

Room Tip: Fort Bragg and the surrounding area has so much to keep you interested, you will really only be slee...

We stayed in the Fort Bragg Super 8 Motel for several night over the 2011Veteran’s Day weekend. Conveniently located at 888 South Main Street, the motel is on the main drag through Fort Bragg and within walking distance of several restaurants, Safeway and a Starbucks. There is a diner adjacent to the parking lot. We had a hard time locating the motel when we arrived however, because the street sign is small and low to the ground. Our room was a bit cramped. With the queen size bed, round table with two chairs, one nightstand and a low long TV stand, there was very little maneuvering room for two adults. On the plus side, the sink and mirror are generously proportioned and separate from the bath and toilet. There is a hanging rack for clothes.

The room was scrupulously clean and appeared to be freshly painted. Lighting was good. Hotel guests have the choice of reusing the towels and linens or having them changed. Simple toiletries - soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower cap - are included.

The bed was firm, had four pillows and was very comfortable. We were on the ground floor and could hear the people above walking around in their room but nothing else. The heater works great, but there is no thermostat, which necessitated getting out of bed several time during the night to manually adjust the room temperature.

Electrical outlets are in very short supply. We had to charge on the same outlet as the coffee maker, which created a charging backup at the end of the day. We found a power bar under the TV cabinet, but using that outlet require crawling on the ground and unplugging the TV and the other appliances.

Conveniently, the room contains a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. There is also free wifi. A simple continental breakfast is served for a few hours in the morning, consisting of several types of juice, coffee and decaf, hot water and tea, and apples, bagels, and sweet rolls. We were able to have something to eat in the room and one day we took some bagels and coffee for the road.

We found the motel staff to be extraordinarily nice and easy to work with.

The Fort Bragg Super 8 was reasonably priced, clean and had all the basic amenities for a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: The only downside to the first floor is that you could hear walking in the room above. Other than th...

Thank you so much for your review. Since we are an economical hotel, we may not offer some of the things that a more expensive upscale hotel may offer, but we do guarantee to give our guests a very clean, well maintained, friendly place to stay. We also try to do the little extra's where we can that is above the conventional economical hotel. We are glad you enjoyed your stay here on the Mendocino Coast and hope you will be able to come back and see us again soon.

This Super 8 motel was conveniently located, comfortable and decently priced. The room and bath were clean and clearly had been kept in good order. Since it's an older place our room was large enough to walk around in, with ample space for our laptop and good Internet service.

This motel is not fancy at all, but the location is perfect. It is on the main street in the middle of town. The people in the office are very friendly and welcoming. They offer a continental breakfast consisting of muffins, bagels, milk, cereal, coffee. Eat at the restaurant next door, with your 10% discount provided by the motel. Perko's restaurant in the same parking lot is great. The food is very good, inexpensive, and served quickly, by a friendly staff. Try the meatloaf for dinner. The price of the motel was very, very reasonable $79. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The bedding smelled fresh, the carpet was clean and the sink and shower and toilet was immaculate. We were there for a quick one night work trip and didn't want to spend alot of money, so this was perfect for what we wanted. We had stayed at Holiday Inn Express down the street a couple of weeks before and although it was nice it was too expensive for what we got. So we were thrilled to find this motel for such a reasonable price. We will stay there from now on. They are also pet friendly for a small fee.

My family and I just stayed there this past weekend,(10-28-11 and 10-29-11). We were in Fort Bragg for a soccer tournament. The bed was very hard and we had springs poking us in the back all night long. The pillows were like bags of mortar. The place was clean but very small and the grout in the bathroom was all cracked, aswell as the silicon around the tub. The water preasure in the shower was non-existant. Not to mention that the hight of the shower head was set up for a person of 4'10" and shorter! The room was tiny!!!!!!!! The free continental breakfast consisted for old apples, watered down cranberry juice, sour milk, and beagles that were so filled with preservitives they kinda glowed. I was shocked the price I had to pay for this room($129) per night. I felt it was not worth more than about $40.00 per night on a good day. I really feel i was taken to the cleaners. When i stated all the down falls during the check out they took $20 off my bill. Yeah, it would have been taken better with a little bite of astro glid. If you are going to be staying in Fort Bragg do not stay here!!!!!!!!. They even make you sigh something stating if you have a 215 that they will charge you $250 if you use your madication! In my opinon this place was a huge rip off and you would be better and comfertable camping out. THIS PLACE SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Any room in this place sucks!

We do appreciate you taking the time to write a review of our hotel. The rate you were charged reflects the fact that this was a busy weekend. Normally our rates run much lower. I am glad to hear that you feel we have a great staff. As for the other issues, I think the reviews from our other guests speak for itself. We pride ourselves on how clean we are, as well as how we put our guests first. I do hope that some day, you choose to give us another try.

Came to Fort Bragg to see the sights and of course take the "Skunk Train". The staff were friendly and helpful. The room came equipped with refrigerator and microwave. There's a great restaurant you can walk to. Great experience and will definately stop again the next time I'm in Fort Bragg. For the money you can't beat it.
