Sportsmans RV Park
Reviewed August 13, 2012

We just returned from 4 days staying here in Fort Bragg. The hosts were fabulous and very accommodating. They gave us lots of help in deciding our activities around town. The lot is plain, but very clean. The deck overlooks the harbor, the river, and provided a beautiful ocean sunset view. We ate dinner there. The bathroom was spotless and kept clean through out the day. We were able to walk and ride our bikes all over. We will return for sure next summer to enjoy the beautiful coast.

I hope to post the fish photos later. We only left because of a dental appointment. We will be returning in a day or so. Sportsmans Rv Park has the nicest people. The potluck had homemade Texas chili, BBQ salmon and ling cod, buffalo wings, garlic bread, fruit and salmon salads, broccoli, sweet corn on the cob, nectarines, salad greens, apple cider and then Pamela and Mark checked in with their 5th wheel in time to enjoy what they almost missed! Most everyone stayed on the dock until well after sunset. Great conversation, laughter and good times were had by all. Adrian from Australia and Glen from Southern Ca. had their commercial salmon fishing boat tied to the dock and enjoyed the experience as much as Mark and Pamela.

Room Tip: Call Linda or Dusty at 707-964-2612 to reserve a space.

We came for a week and stayed the summer. We had a great time with the owners Linda & Dusty. Husband had fun helping Dusty build boat, fun it floated... The park was very clean and the the dock was very relaxing watching the fishing boats go in and out the picturesque Noyo Harbor. Fishing was fun, salmon , ling and other rock fish . enjoyed potlucks on dock with other campers, fun making new friends. Thanks C&J. shops and restaurants on wharf are fun.
Our dogs enjoyed leash free beach and jetty. We enjoyed day trips to the awesome Giant Redwoods and The rock cliffs and sandy beaches. beauty compares to our Nat'l Parks. everyone should see. Their is so much to do and see.

This is our second stay with Linda and Dusty, they have been great with our kids and pet. The ground, the deck, the bathroom and the trash containers are always clean and easy to access. We are annual visitors to Fort Bragg and have stayed at several facilities in the area and find Sportsman RV to be our preference. We are looking forward to our next visit in a couple of weeks.

We have totally enjoyed the owners, Linda and Dusty Dillion. This RV park is very clean, friendly and quiet. There were some pot luck dinners on the dock and fresh abalone, salmon, rockfish and lingcod was just some of the great food that was enjoyed by all. We got to know other campers, some comercial salmon fisherman who were tied up by Dusty's rowing club and some locals who joined the feast. Their dock is awesome, we could watch all the Fort Bragg boats come and go from the harbor, while looking out of the mouth of the Noyo river into the Pacific Ocean. It is a very restfull place and there are lots of chairs on the dock where you can relax and read and enjoy the spectacular scenery & sunsets. We can walk to over 10 restaurants, 5 large party fishing boats, 4 smaller 6 pack boats. Just 300 yards upriver at Fort Bragg Marine you can rent kayaks and they have diving and fishing gear as well. There are two excellent restaurants right next door to Sportsmans RV Park. In the RV office they have a gallery with art , shells, shirts, caps, postcards, canned fish and much much more. You can walk to Main street Ft. Bragg and find all varitety of stores as well as, a movie theater and dvd/video rentals. The beach is only a block away. You can fish from the jetty, walk your dog on the dog friendly beach, have the kids play in the sand, fly a kite, and have a picnic. We dove for abalone just 200 yards out past the jetty and we both got our limits easily. The RV park is pet friendly, with a very clean restroom and shower and full 50 and 100 amp hookups. It really is a great rv park and the price is right too.

this facility is terrible, there is nothing to do, locate is horrible, facility is filthy and unsanitary. there is feces all around the park from cats and dogs. there is no trash area. the bath ROOM is tiny and does not meet expectations. there is mold factor in the bathroom. the hook ups are old. the water is bad, it comes out brown and stinks. (undrinkable) the facility is extremely small. and has nothing to offer. there is no views other then the Noyo river. There is nothing close to walking distance other then two extremely expensive restaurants and a dirty dog park. there is constant homeless people wandering though the park not to mention the intoxicated people that leave the restaurants yelling and screaming. i would not recommend this facility to any traveler.
