“Glass Beach - magical”

This beach is pretty magical. The colours of the glass glitter in the sunshine. The most fun part is climbing across the rocks and seeing the waves crash against the side. Definitely worth a visit, plus a lovely drive up there.

“So cool!”

Well worth visiting! The beach is lovely and all the sea glass glistening in the sun was beautiful. Walking along the shoreline was easy and a fun activity for our family.

Exquisite and beautiful place where glass replaces the sand. Loved it, but it was a little hard to scramble back up the cliff.

“It's the ocean...”

We were told by a friend that this was a beautiful location with lots of colorful glass on the ground. It was a fun location for the kids to walk around and explore but if you're looking for something unique this isn't it.

“Nature at Work”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Who could have predicted that a garbage dump would become a tourist destination? Mother Nature took all that was tossed at her and made a very unique place. To get the full effect you need to climb down the little cliff to the cove where the entire beach is covered in sea glass which is to the south along the fence. There is glass on the beach at the end of the trail that leads down from the road where you park but nothing compared to what you find in the protected cove. People linger on the beach picking thru the shimmery particles searching for specific colors. Despite the fact that it is posted that you are in an archeological preserve and that removal of objects is prohibited, people actively mine the treasure in the sand. I found the most pleasing time to visit to be early in the morning before the masses arrived. I was fortunate to visit the second time on a clear morning, so the sun was bright and it made the damp glass twinkle.
