We stayed at the Farmhouse for our honeymoon and I could not imagine a more perfect place. Beautiful surroundings, incredible food, very helpful and friendly staff. The room was spacious and cozy at the same time. It had a beautiful bathtub, a dry sauna and a wood burning fireplace. All capped off with homemade smores provided by the hotel. The grounds were well kept with a beautiful garden. It was relaxing, beautiful, and romantic, everything you would want on a getaway from real life.

We had our first stay at the Farmhouse Inn in September 2008 for our 25th Wedding anniversary. Our room was beautiful! We loved sitting in front of our fire and enjoying some the wines we found at the local wineries. Everything was perfect, except the restaurant was closed on the days we were there. So we decided we needed to come back the next year. And we did, for our 26th anniversary. Again, a beautiful stay, and this time we got to eat at their restaurant, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. We have decided that we must go back every year, and so we have our third trip scheduled. Although we will be there a month after our 27th anniversary, we will be celebrating! This is such a lovely place; we never want to leave when it is time to!

You two are just the greatest. We're all so glad you came back and tried the restaurant. And, we're so glad you loved it.
We're so looking forward to seeing you again next year.
Best,
Catherine

If I could give the Farmhouse 10 stars, I would! My new husband and I were fortunate enough to spend the first 4 days of our honeymoon at the Farmhouse, and we enjoyed every minute of it. When booking the room several months ago, the concierge (I believe it was Marilyn) helped me select a room that would best suit our needs. We decided to stay in room 16 which is located in the new barn addition, and I'm so glad we did. The room was nicely appointed with a large soaking tub, gas fireplace, steam shower and generous deck overlooking the woods. It was private, clean and spacious - everything we were looking for. The spa robes & slippers were a nice touch too.

The grounds were well maintained and very beautiful. The pool area was nice and relaxing, and the pool itself was heated which was nice since the region was experiencing cooler than average temperatures when we visited. The main office was cozy & clean, and the complimentary bath products were an added bonus. DVDs and books were available to be borrowed, although we never had time to make use of them. The Farmhouse is located on a busy street, but the location is excellent. We took a drive to the coast one morning and to the nearby Armstrong woods park in the afternoon. There are numerous wineries in the area, and the inn is located near the cities of Santa Rosa, Healdsburg and Forestville. There are many cute restaurants, shops and bars in the surrounding communities.

The staff was friendly and helpful during our entire stay, and provided us with great restaurant and winery recommendations. We spent two afternoons traveling to various wineries recommended by the Farmhouse, and we were treated very warmly by their staff members. Tastings were free when we mentioned we were staying at the Farmhouse, & we even received a complimentary bottle of wine from one of the wineries.

The food at the Farmhouse is top notch for both dinner and breakfast. The fresh fruit, muffins, scones, eggs, pancakes & french toast were a delicious way to start our morning, and the cookies and milk were a welcome treat at the end of the day. We partook in the complimentary Italian sodas and s'mores and they were delicious as well. We had dinner at the restaurant on Sunday evening and enjoyed the food and the personal service we received. It was expensive, but worth it. Try the rabbit - it's delicious!

Both my husband and I had massages during our stay, and the staff took extra time to explain various techniques we could try at home. Both therapists were friendly and professional.

Overall I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at the Farmhouse. Thank you to all the staff members for making our honeymoon so pleasurable! We look forward to returning in the future.

We loved you too. Thanks so much for choosing us. And we were so happy to help make sure the first few days of wedded bliss were idyllic. Can't wait to see you for that first anniversary. We have some great things in store for you...
Very best,
Catherine

I liked this place!
While the location is not walkable to anywhere, you can drive to many interesting places including Napa and Healdsburg in about 30-60 minutes.
The sister/brother owners are usually present and nice to talk to and I found the staff (with one exception) to be friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed at one of the cottages which was a good size and had an in-room sauna. The property is not big and is appealing and has a cute garden and an avg. size heated pool.
The inn's restaurant is 1-star Michelin and as it is closed on Wed., we did not get a chance to eat there.
We saw one or two couples with kids staying here which would also make it a convenient place for families to stay at. The inn's Spa looked nice but we did not get to try it out.
As far as the prices, unless you get a last minute deal or a special rate, it tends to be on the expensive side. Also, if you are an early riser and/or require 24-hrs front desk/room service, Farmhouse Inn would not be the best choice as front desk is staffed between 8-8 and the first breakfast seating begins at 8:30. There are no coffee shops nearby unless you would like to drive. I think they offer free internet access if you have your own computer. There is a computer by front desk available for guest use but the speed/connection is so slow, you would not be able to really put it into use.

This is a perfect example of a guest who probably should have chosen another property. He stayed, but didn't dine or experience the spa. They wanted early breakfast, coffee and 24-hour front desk. The vast majority of guests at Farmhouse indulge in the whole "Farmhouse Experience". Meaning they dine in the restaurant (plan your trip so you aren't just here Tuesday and Wednesday when we're closed), they take advantage of our fabulous spa, they sleep in and enjoy breakfast a bit later (although if 8:30 is too late, our chefs gladly prepare and deliver a continental breakfat to your room the evening before...) and if early coffee is on the agenda, then they use the great little pots and organic coffee that you'll find in the room. If you do decide to visit, we aren't a big hotel. We're just 18 rooms. But, we have a team of six concierges and four bellmen to take care of your every need. Just let us know and we'll do our best to exceed your expectations.
Best,
Catherine

A terrific setting to get away from it all or to tour Sonoma wineries. Eating at the restaurant is a must! Be sure to get reservations as the restaurant fills up quickly. The complimentary breakfast was fabulous. Lots of amenities provided at no charge. We had a wonderful massage in the spa and enjoyed hanging out in our room and watching DVDs at night after touring during the day.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during our recent trip to Sonoma County. Everything was perfect. We stayed in a Barn Room, which is extraordinary. Breakfast is included and is wonderful. It is such a peaceful, relaxing place to stay and the staff is so friendly and accomodating. We had dinner our last night at the Farmhouse Restaurant... it lived up to my expectations and was amazing.

Wow, where to start? Our visit with Farmhouse was perfect. The staff were great: friendly, helpful and fun. The room was pristine, the grounds equally lovely, and the restaurant was simply divine! We spent three nights in Room 2 and loved it. We enjoyed the pool, fire pit and the handmade soaps/bath salts. At Farmhouse, they take hospitality to a new level and it was greatly enjoyed. I cannot see staying anywhere else on our next trip to Sonoma/Napa. Be sure to enjoy at least one dinner at the restaurant - it was the highlight of our trip.
