Well, I hate to be the one to end the string of great reviews but here goes.
First the good:
Desk staff was friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent and it is convenient to walk across the road to your room. Well-located for visiting wineries in the area.
Now the bad:
The room was very near a busy street (more like a 2 lane highway) with very loud road noise, even with the windows and door shut. I could here my neighbor cough. There is no lobby, communal area for resting, meeting other guests. We had a wood burning fireplace in the room but very little wood. The front staff was very kind to bring us more but the logs were very large, wet and green and hard to use (actually several could not ve used) in the very small fireplace. The room and bath were fine though a bit dated and had a "motel feel." Overpriced at amost $300 on a last minute deal in December. We had considered 2 nights but were sorry we even booked one.
My advice. Eat here. If you still think you want to stay here, consider asking to see a room prior to booking.

My husband and I stayed one night here in November for my birthday and we had a wonderful time. We stayed in room #4 and our only minor complaint was the noise from the road which is close-by. Trucks seem to slow down right about where the driveway to the inn is located, and back-firing seemed to be an issue this particular night! Otherwise we would definately return, the staff was great, and the spa incredible!

We had a lovely weekend at the Farmhouse Inn. Our room, #8, was spacious and charming, with a sitting area in front of the fireplace, a jacuzzi tub, a sauna, flat screen TV and DVD player (with complimentary movies), a CD player, and a giant platform bed. The Inn is fairly close to the main road, but we didn't really hear any road noise when we were inside the room. They left very yummy chocolates on our bed for my husband's birthday, and milk and homemade cookies every day. A very nice touch.

My only complaint would be that the bed wasn't tremendously comfortable. The linens were high quality, but the bed itself was thin and hard (granted, we have an awesome pillowtop bed at home, so are never really too comfortable when we're away).

The breakfasts were fantastic and the coffee was excellent. We ate dinner at the restaurant as well and it was above average, but not the best in recent memory. We ate at the Underwood Bar and Grill the night before, and I thought the two were about the same quality, with the Farmhouse being 3x as expensive. I thought the wine prices were a little high too, but they have a great selection.

Overall, we had a wonderful time and would return in a heartbeat.
