What a special place! A perfect blend of contemporary and "70's". Truly the place to stop for lunch when wine tasting in the Russian River Valley. My husband had fish&chips..he enjoyed but next time would get that huge burger. The menu just has a plain caesar but the server was happy to have the kitchen add chicken...delicious. Also, since the tasting room is right there, the server suggested we go taste while our meal was being prepared. We could pick our wine and bring it back to the table. PERFECT. We chose a nice Rose and thoroughly enjoyed the wine and our meal. We will return!

Staff was over the top. We arrived late but the wait staff worked with the chef to accommodate us. Food was excellent. Very good wine selection. Both the chef and wait staff took time to chat with us. Definitely will return to Corks.

Tranquil winery setting, beautiful landscaping, lovely service and excellent food... CORKS is a quiet little gem tucked away off of Hwy #116, just north of Sebastopol and River Rd. The old farmhouse has a tasting room in what was the front room, dining inside and outside in a patio garden .Sun umbrellas, heaters, and of coarse good wine, the staff see to that diners are relaxed comfortable. Our first time was December, cold, so we sat inside the glass enclosed "back porch", watching the sparkly lights outside, while cozy and warm inside, while enjoying a fine meal. Our 2an time was April, and was our dinner destination. We sat outside early evening enjoyed a great dinner to end our wine country day trip. The owner, and his dog, came round to graciously greet guest. It's quiet enough for a table conversation, a rarity. The menu has lots of good choices, many local grown sessional vegetables. This could easily be a destination in itself capping off a day trip, or as part of your wine country explorations. Next time we will go early enough to sample the wines!

The food and service were excellent. Many items looked inviting, but 2 people at our B&B recommended the sea bass and scallops, and we weren't disappointed. Very relaxing at the end of a long travel day. Music was good (classical), but a little loud.

If at all possible, be sure to combine your dining experience with wine tasting at the Russian River Vineyards (same facility). I and my partner and out of town guests like to make our dinner reservations early at 5pm, so that we may partake of some wine tasting before the tasting alcove closes at that time. I am a member of one of the wine clubs, so am entitled to complimentary tasting for my guests plus a 20% discount for wine and food purchases from the winery and at Corks restaurant. Corks is really a hidden gem, and only gets better. The food is first-rate, and my favorites are the wild mushroom soup with garlic croutons and saffron cream for a starter, and for an entree the pan-roasted California sea bass, with chardonnay butter and yuzu marinated wild mushrooms served with a bed of mashed potatoes and lightly grilled fennel. Delicious! The sea bass is roasted to perfection and very tender, and the serving is generous. Plus, the menu listings are often altered from time to time, as the wild mushroom soup consisted of darker mushrooms that I experienced on a prior visit (excellent both times, of course) and the California sea bass dish can often include a "scallop duet," as well. Our dining party of three also started out with a wine country charcuterie plate with servings of various deli meats, cheeses, pickled onions and thin pear slices with Sonoma olives and whole-grain mustard, and fig spread. We accompanied dinner with a bottle of the Chester chardonnay (the wine list includes all the Russian River Vineyards wines, of course). I would definitely recommend Corks for foodies. Prices are a bit on the high end, but for the excellent food and service is definitely worth it. The service, from the moment you walk in the door to the end of the meal (as well as the wine tasting service) is top-notch, and Polly is an excellent server whom we have enjoyed on previous visits. We prefer to dine outdoors on the patio, but rainy, cool weather prevented us from doing this on our most recent visit April 1, which means we missed our usual other dining companion, Chester the winery dog!
