What more can you ask for, good value canoe rental, good quality kit, friendly service and that's that.

Best to book ahead, 4 people in a single canoe is a bit too much!

We had a great time camping overnight at Burke's. The camp ground was well maintained, showers were good, and the staff ran a tight ship. Lots of trees on our site to keep the tents in the shade (though our camp sites were pretty dusty). We enjoyed our canoe trip down the river...many places to stop, eat and swim. Made for a fun day with a short bus ride back to camp! Great outing for a group of friends.

Burke's is great. We took a break from wine tasting to do something a little more adventurous on our honeymoon. The beaches along the way get a little crowded, so keep an eye out for kids and dogs in the river.

We rented a canoe for my husband and I to travel on the Russian River. We arrived just as the fog was burning off and avoided quite a rush of people. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Bring a cooler with drinks and food as the trip is about 3 hours and there are no facilities for buying anything along the trip. We listened to the orientation and with the few needed details, set off on the river. There were several "rapids" but nothing so difficult you can not handle it easily. There are places along the river to beach the canoe, sit, eat and relax for a bit. We made the journey in just over 3 hours and saw great herons, swallows, ducks, and birds we could not identify but sat and watched for a while. The staff person at the end was considerate and delivered us back to the start without a long wait. Great thing to do with family and friends - we saw many multiple canoe groups set off for a day on the river.

We rented one canoe and one kayak from Burke's on Father Day, and had a blast. The booth was crowded when we arrived but the team got everyone checked in and outfitted reasonably quickly. River was warmer than expected, and exit point was easy to spot. Great way to spend a day with the family!
