We stayed at “Ksar El Khorbat” guesthouse in Tinejdad whilst travelling around Morocco with friends from Barcelona. They had previously stayed there and knew the Manager (Hmad Benasar). We were directed to a traditional Berber lounge where we were given a drink of Moroccan mint tea and biscuits before being taken to our spacious air-conditioned room.
Hamad then gave us a guided tour of the Oasis Museum which has 22 halls, each one dedicated to a special topic of the traditional live in oasis in the south of the High Atlas. Another restored house of the Ksar has been converted to a handcraft workshop for women. Here we saw local women making and selling embroider shawls.
Both the evening meal and the breakfast were excellent and the homemade yoghurt was to die for. Would stay there again.More
