Love, love, loved their Dosa. My favorite type of restaurant - excellent food with fast service. What's not to like? 2 people, dinner - $18.95... can't beat that. Will be back - Mylapore is on my approved list!

“Great South Indian Food”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

We found Mylapore by searching "Indian Food in Folsom" on the internet. We had been at Lake Natoma doing a 4 mile hike with Sacramento Audubon Society and were starving. Found Mylapore using Google Map - easy. The place is in a small shopping center. It was a busy place the day we visited - no problem getting a table though. There are photos of some of the dishes at the front counter - everything looks great. Once seated our server came right over with menus - lots of nice choices of vegetarian dishes. We ordered several items - to get tastes of different things. Wow - wonderful food! The Pani Poori is fabulous - little poories with all the condiments to add to them - not greasy either. The owner, Jai, came by and showed us how they are served by street vendors in India. He is really friendly and helpful. Everyone working there was so pleasant. Nice music too - great vibe there. The other dishes we got were also delicious - channa with poori was very good, as are the dosas and especially the mini idli dish. We will definitely return!! It's a casual place - there is outside seating when weather is nice. It seems to be a very popular place. They are opening a chaat house in the same shopping center in a month or 2 - sounds lovely.

“The place to go for South Indian food in Sacramento”
Reviewed December 24, 2012

We frequently visit this authentic South Indian restaurant. The food always seems freshly made and the service is good. Their specialities (Andhra Kara, Mylapore special) are really well done and can be a delight for the spice-o-holic. The place can get fairly busy at certain hours (lunch time during weekdays and around 1 pm and 8 pm on weekends). Apart from the cricket-reruns, this place always has something new to offer every time.

“Great Food - Great Experience!”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

Hubby and I recently dined at Mylapore in Folsom. We had the great fortune to have Jay (the owner) at the restaurant who helped us make menu decisions and what a treat it was! We had an appetizer of what looks like donuts, but is actually deep fried lentils served with dipping sauces. Yum! Then for our entree we had a Dosa....this is not only tasty but the unusual presentation makes this dish fun to eat as well!! We enjoyed a mango/yogurt drink that was delish! The dishes were all prepared just before coming to our table and everything was fresh and delicious! We are vegetarians, so Mylapore has become a destination restaurant!! Thank you, Jay!! We'll be seeing you and your staff soon!!! Cathi & Jim

“Good food, but service & ambience leave you wanting..”

Decent south Indian food. But often INDIFFERENT service, and blaring music in the evenings breaks the calm.
