Ein Gev is a well run Kibbutz that offers guests to stay in their Resort. You'll be staying on the quiet side of The Kinneret (Sea of Gallilee), and the place is magical. Listen up though, it's still a kibbutz so do not expect 5 star service, but if you get to know even one hard working yet laid back Kibbutznik, your stay will be super special. Think, you'll be sleeping not far from millions of bananas. Their restaurant (the one located in the actual Kibbutz) is famous for fish and really delicious. Ask the people there about the hills and how close you are to the Jordanian border and The Golan. Make sure you have a car. You can drive out of the Kibbutz, turn left and right and end up driving up the hills that will give you breathtaking views in return. Even though you are in the Middle-East, both the Jordanian border and the Syrian borders have been super quiet since 1973.

Room Tip: Try to get away from groups staying there and get yourself as close as possible to the Lake. The breeze that arrives each day around 4 pm is worth it.

This is the second time I have stayed here, but my first review here. Whether for beauty or religious experience -- this hotel with its cabin / cabana type rooms is fantastic. Though a bit homey rather than luxurious, it is a fabulous place. Most cabana rooms are just feet from the Galillee. The food at the buffet restaurant is fabulous (though there are many, many tour groups) the service is excellent. Service from the staff is with kindness and great attention to every guest. (I led a church tour with 14 people - joining with 2 other small churches to make 28). Even though we were a small tour by most standards, we were given every attention by the staff. I would love to stay here again and again. The view of Tiberias across the waters of the Galillee is incredible - day or night.

Room Tip: on the sea of Galillee if possible

Entire family: mom, dad, 2 kids. Got a villa on the water line overlooking the sea of Galilee, with the back door opening to a huge grassy knoll where the kids can go crazy. The accommodations are not fancy but in good shape, 2 LCD TV's, a small but practical kitchenette and a bar-B-Q stand outside the door.
The price for two nights and 3 days (check out is late afternoon on Saturday) was just amazing.
Then again, we were there in January, I'm not sure you'd get this price in April or the summer months. A great value nonetheless.

Room Tip: ask for the villas on the water line, you don't want to be back. We had 29.

A wonderful taste of a thoroughness and community effort! Beautiful location, jaw dropping views and full of Biblical and Political significance. Scrupteous food and lovely dinning room with inspiring views. Facilities very well presented and planned. Roomy rooms :-) and such a spacious feel of walk ways, balconies and privacy. Perfect architectual concept for location. A warm privelege to see real people of all ages involved and participating in helping guest have a complete experience in this premises! Galilee in front, historic mountains behind!

Our family w/2 young children stayed in the newly renovated Kafriot and loved it. Nicely updated kitchenette and living spaces. One very small bedroom with two single beds and the master bed in the main room including the sofa and kitchenette = family friendly. The front row of Kafriot (which I think translates to something like, "home in the village") has great views of Kinneret with a nice patio and bbq area for each bungalow. Standard dairy breakfast heavy on the Israeli salad side. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Contact the hotel directly with questions about room configurations as the info on their website and all the review sites isn't entirely accurate. Other reviews describing it as a major tour group site are valid; thankfully we stayed here in the off-season.

Room Tip: Contact hotel directly to secure a front-row room with sea views.
