Kibbutz Mizra Country Lodging

Last minute we needed a place to stay in Jezeriel Valley and booked this room, mainly because I knew my brother had been a volunteer here in the 60s and thought it would be interesting.
Clearly, the guest houses are not a big part of kibutz. The signs were very hard to follow to find check in. The room was adequate (two twin beds called double bed) and clean (probably volunteer rooms years ago) with old fashion Israeli shower that was fine.
Finding the dining room for breakfast was confusing. there were no signs and no map. That would not be hard to do for kibutz and we ended up losing an hour finding the diing room and then our room in the morning. Clearly they are more geared towards Israeli tourist than non -Hebrew speaking. But at the price point it was still reasonable.

Just spent a weekend here with a group of friends. We were 15 families with children. The rooms were spotless and well equipped with TVs, fridges, dishes, microwaves, kettles and air conditioners. Outside each room were tables and chairs, a barbecue and a hammock. The meals in the kibbutz dining room were exceptional, we really enjoyed the food. The swimming pool was closed as it is out of season, but the children visited the petting zoo and cowsheds, while I visited the second hand clothing store and was surprised at the great selection there and the reasonable prices. Next door was another second hand store which apparently sells household goods and the like but we missed the opening hours. A really relaxing weekend and we'll probably visit again. An added bonus was the free wi-fi. We had to pay for this service at the 5-star hotel where we stayed last month. Highly recommended. Well done Kibbutz Mizra!

Room Tip: Some rooms have been renovated and are really nice. We had two rooms with a connecting door, giving...
