“Who is in charge of service?”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

Arrived for a meal after staying at the lodge and whilst the food was nice the service was hit and miss. Everyone was friendly but there were so many staff both at dinner and breakfast no one seemed to have a clue who did what. When asked to get drinks or the bill the people who passed had such rigid job descriptions that they could only do the job they had to do and so you had to wait for the actual server to get drinks etc. usually everyone at other restaurants can help with different requests but if you asked the wrong person at this place you were waiting a long time

“Outdoor dining. Good Service.”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

Nice outdoor dining area with fire pit. A bit to close to the noise from the pool area. Staff - Brian was great and very helpful.

“Happy compromise”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

Sierra is that happy compromise that you often make – its not great but its certainly good enough and its in a great location. We sat outside for lunch and inside for dinner and while the food was usually attractive to look at it wasn’t the tastiest. As an earlier reviewer said, “I wouldn’t send it back” The cedar salmon is a nice idea, and certainly gives a good flavour but it didn’t inspire me to go home and try it.
Good views and nice situation.

“Good option for lunch and dinner while staying at Tenaya”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

We never ate breakfast here but lunch and dinner were very nice. After a long day in Yosemite this is a welcome easy place to grab a bite close to the hotel. Drinks are well prepared, wine list is acceptable. Food is average to good. Sitting outside was the highlight for us. Beer selection is limited but very nice. Many local breweries on offer.

Kids meals were large portion so if you have two kids consider splitting a dish. Generally attentive staff. We had two fantastic waiters and two underperformers. Not unexpected given the location and likely high turnover with seasonal workers.

“Good Food and Good Service”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

We had the breakfast buffet at the Sierra. It was well prepared and well presented. As with the other restaurants at Tenaya the prices tend to be on the high side but the quality of the food and the service were very good.
