“Quiet and Cosy”

Great B&B, fantastic breakfast (both in variety and quality). Pam is very knowledgeable and gives you sight seeing ideas based on what you like and how much time you have. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We used the Table Tennis table and the hammock out the back. Very tranquil, just what we needed after a hectic tour of the country for the 2 weeks prior to our stay.

If you want to feel like home, as we did, stay at Yosemite Big Creek Inn. We liked our stay in Merced room, which was very comfortable, Pamela's delicious breakfast, her great job in planing our tours to the Yosemite Park, sitting on the sun deck and enjoying the beautiful surrounding and every thing else very much. Any time, we will come to that place, we hopefully can stay there again.

Room Tip: We think, all rooms are great.

We highly recommend this B & B if you are going to be in the Yosemite area. The innkeeper has done a wonderful job of creating a beautiful space that celebrates the beauty of Yosemite. We stayed in the Mariposa room which was very spacious, beautifully decorated, very clean and has a very comfortable king size bed. All the rooms also have a patio that face the big meadow, I very much enjoyed watching the birds in the morning. The innkeeper does a fantastic job of making you feel at home and is great at knowing everything you need to know about Yosemite and surrounding area. Thank you Pamela for a great stay!!

Room Tip: The Mariposa has a very comfortable bed.

We had a great 2 night stay at Big Creek Inn. Cosy, clean rooms just what we wanted after a few days of Hiking in Yosemite, it has an amazing selection of DVD's to watch in the evening, breakfast in the morning has a great selection ready to set you up for the day.
Location is great as close to the park entrance.

Can't fault this Inn - Would highly recommend anyone staying here :)

My husband and I were on holiday in the US and we stayed at a number of locations and hotels. We stayed at Yosemite Big Creek Inn for 3 nights and it was our only stay that was not in a "hotel". It was so much better than any of the hotels (including 5 star hotels) that we stayed in. The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. Everything is offered from shoe cleaning kits to disposable paper cups in the bathroom. Outside in the hallway there is a dispenser for pretzels and nuts and glasses to use if you have brought a bottle of wine back to the room to chill. Breakfast was wonderful with a fantastic choice and a great opportunity to discuss with Pamela (the proprietor) which treks she recommended for the day. We had originally been disappointed that we were unable to get accommodation within Yosemite but realised immediately that in fact we had had a lucky escape as the Big Creek Inn is so fantastic.

Room Tip: We had Mariposa which was very large with a lovely balcony overlooking the stream.

We have recently returned from a trip to the US where we stayed in 6 hotels including the Venetian in Las Vegas. There were 4 of us (2 couples) and we all agreed the Big Creek was our favourite, although maybe not on par with the Venetian in size and opulence (I believe the Venetian has well over a 1000 rooms!) the Big Creek has 3. On our arrival we were met by the proprietor Pamela who gave us a warm welcome into her lounge with a huge log burning fire. We were then shown to our rooms the largest of which was sumptuous with a king size bed, flat screen tv, soft furnishings and a deep pile carpet. There was also a large gas flame effect log burning stove which was very cosy and effective. There was a huge en suite bathroom and separate toilet and sufficient space for hanging clothes etc. The whole place was immaculately clean. The patio windows led to a balcony with seating overlooking a beautiful meadow where star gazing was perfect due to the lack of light pollution. Nuts were provided to feed the birds which visited each morning. Outside the rooms was a communal area which comprised of a table and chairs, fridge and microwave with tea/coffee making facilities (hot water provided) and complimentary soft drinks, nibbles and biscuits etc. There were sufficient glasses, cups, plates and cutlery if required. Breakfast consisted of a leisurely buffet with home made cakes muffins etc. Fresh coffee and tea, orange juice, porridge, a variety of breads, jams, cold platters, eggs, yogurts and freshly prepared fruit. (the home made cakes didn't return to the kitchen!) As this was our first trip to Yosemite we were looking for guidance and local knowledge. This was were Pamela came in. She was more than happy to give us advice on where to go from the minute we arrived highlighting places on maps, what the best walks, where places to shop etc. She greeted us on our return each day and was clearly pleased when we told her of our daily exploits. We all left with heavy hearts but hope to return one day.

Room Tip: All three rooms are cosy and comfortable however the largest of the 3 was my favourite.

We spent 2 nights at Big Creek Inn March. Pamela made sure we made the most of our time there and her knowledge of the area is amazing. The breakfast was the best we had anywhere in the states. Pamela has provided all the little things that you don't expect at a bed and breakfast. The room was very clean and we loved having the fire on during cold mornings. Very pleasant stay and would not think about going anywhere else if I was heading to Yosemite.

Room Tip: The Mariposa room has the king bed but any of the 3 rooms are lovely.
