The location is excellent, in the heart Marginimea Sibiu, the most famous area of shepherds in Romania. Easy to reach, well signposted in Tilisca.
Deep silence except the murmur of the creek that runs behind the guesthouse, that induces a complete relaxation.
Pension is a completely new building with very large and nice furnished rooms. The sanitary works fine (shower and so on).
The hostess (Irina) is the heart of the guest house, particularly inviting, the atmosphere is intimate and pleasant, everyone feels entirely at ease. The food is very tasty (Irina has a real talent for cooking) and abundant. Impossible to eat all things on the table. The Tzuica (double refined plums spirit, slightly above 50 degrees strong) and the wine are both the best quality.
The price is minimal and the quality is the best. Very difficult to find such quality somewhere else.
And do not forget to (carefully) drive through the villages Tilisca, Rod, Poiana Sibiului, Jina and further to Sugag, the road is both wonderful (the villages, the landscape) and also an adventure.
Transalpina (the already famous road) is not so far away of this location and it is one of the most exciting roads (2143 meter the highest altitude).

My husband and I, with a couple of our friends travelled to Romania-Tilisica August 2012.
This is our second time visiting Irina's Pension. Our second visit at Irena's exceeded our first. We were warmly greeted by Irina (amazing how after 6 years she still remembered us).
The house is well located in a serene and peaceful village – which is an amazing place by itself. The pension is newly renovated, each room is different and amazingly designed. We slept on the 2nd floor (we were 3 rooms).
Our room was very spacious with a living room which had a big window to the most pretty view to the lake streaming below (the sound of the water is absolutely relaxing).
Upon our arrival Irina greeted us with Tzoyka – local homemade plum liquor . Irina serves both breakfast and dinner in the dining room which is located in the entrance. Both meals were from produce that Irina grows and makes (cheese, jams, sausages, veggies etc).
I highly recommend Irina's pension it's like a home away from home. The price is very pocket friendly and you 100% get your money's worth. The place is very family friendly with a yard with toys.
If you travel to her give her my best! You won't regret it!
