I contacted this property directly; more or the less, just taking a stab in the dark. I really wasn't knowing what to expect. As I pulled into the lobby, so far so good. The receptionist was pleasant, and willing to visit with me. That made me feel wanted right away. The next test were the conditions of the room. The room was a pleasant surprise. It was not only nice and roomey, but there was a coffee table and a couch. The only problem was construction that was going on outside my room in the parking lot. But that ended rather quickly. There were a couple of restaurants close by. My bed was comfortable for sleeping. The bathroom needed work. But I assumed that this was going to get taken care of, as construction was in full force. Overall, I had a positive experience here. I'm wishing I would have stayed here heading northbound a week later, as it was 12 hours of driving from Yuma, AZ to Patterson, CA!!!

I was traveling to Lancaster to visit family. I had my two-year-old daughter and my 12-year-old niece. I had thought we would make the trip in one day, but we were exhausted by the time we got as far as Firebaugh and pulled off when we saw the sign.

The room was wonderful for the price, very clean and very comfortable. They were in the process of being bought by Best Western, I remember, but everything was nice and well-kept, and sometimes that's hard to find in a privately owned place.

I felt bad because my two-year-old was way overstimulated and laughed and screamed until very late! The poor people next door! If you were there, I apologize! Once I managed to get her to sleep, we had a great night, and got up in the morning to have breakfast at the restaurant, pancakes and apricot sauce. Breakfast was delicious, the restaurant was decorated with all these cute old lunchboxes, and the staff was really friendly. It reminded me of the car trips I took with my parents as a child - the same kind of restaurant, the same kind of 60's-esque decorations, but nicely maintained. My niece had a blast! Believe it or night, she's now 16, and she keeps asking if we can make the trip again someday, just so we can stop at the Apricot Inn - I feel kind of bad she didn't enjoy the time with our family as much...

We stayed here after driving 12+ hours from Eugene, OR and were beat by the time we chose to exit the highway for this hotel. It was right off I-10 which was great. We were able to get a room but the heater was broken, which was ok with us since we were too tired to keep going. The room was ok. It served its purpose. There was some outside noise that kept me awake late at night, but I quickly fell back to sleep. They had a continental breakfast in the morning with waffles that my husband says were pretty good.

We ate dinner at the Apricot Tree Restaurant next door, the food was ok. Across the street is a huge gas station/MacDonalds.
