On a nice sunny day we decided to take a drive up to the Santa Cruz Mts. It's a beautiful drive through beautiful redwood trees and hobbit like housing along the road. Once we arrived in Felton we were starving and started stopping at several of the local restaurants. At each one we were told to come back another time; it was 2:30 p.m. We finally gave up and turned the car around to head back home. On the way we spotted Rockys. it's got a nice wrap around porch outside with lots of tables. We pulled into the parking lot and slowly started for the building. That's when a big friendly guy on the porch waved at us and said to come on in. We were thrilled and felt very welcomed. Although they were in the process of closing for lunch, we were told to choose any table and relax. A very cheerful server brought us menus and said to order anything we wanted. We had a great meal of a cheeseburger and fries, and a chicken salad. The service was super, the atmosphere was warm and friendly, and it was just all around good. We will definitely take the drive up to the woods again and Rock's Cafe will be on the itinery.
