The welcome was great from Haywood and the site allocated was fully serviced, clean and spacious for a 25 ft RV.
Most sites are in amongst the big Redwood trees across the San Lorenzo river from Henry Cowell State Park about 1.2 miles out of Felton.it was very shaded and we rarely saw the sun which would possibly be an added bonus in the hot summer!
The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, we had a problem with our rented RV (Cruise America - poor customer service) and the guys from the park did everything possible to help us out. There's laundry, great internet, a club house with pool, table tennis and great walks in the forest nearby
A very well run RV park full of friendly people!

Cheek to jowl camping at it's worst. We didn't come begging at the last minute. We made reservations several months in advance, paid for a standard site and expected an average sized space based on photos on the website. After checking in with our 18 ft trailer we nearly missed our assigned space because a picnic table occupied the tiny site jammed in between 2 large trailers. After moving the table we managed with difficulty to squeeze our tiny trailer into the site and park our tow vehicle crosswise in front of the trailer on the street. The adjacent trailers were only 4 feet away on either side and at the back of our site was a redwood tree with just a couple of feet between it and the trailer. This is where we had to set up our folding chairs to have any sense of privacy--just inches from and looking directly at the rear of the trailer.
This was one of the worst camping experiences we've ever had. It was either stay inside our smalI trailer or leave for the entire day and return only to sleep at night. After 2 very unpleasant days of this we were able to get a site at nearby Henry Cowell State Park so we forfeited the cost of our remaining day, moved there for 2 days and were able to salvage the remainder of our trip. Greed on the part of the owner of this park is the only explaination for the existance of the postage stamp size space we were assigned and we will NEVER NEVER return to this park.

My inlaws just purchased a travel trailer last weekend and we wanted to go someplace close in case we didn't know how to figure all the gadgets out. After reading all the reviews I called on Wednesday and they told me they were booked and only had overflow available. After discussing it with my family they said to go ahead and book it. So I called again on Thursday and spoke to Ann and she said there was a cancellation for a full hookup spot. I am so glad I called back. When we arrived we were created by Rob and Ann (the camp host) they showed us to our spot and Rob came over right away and gave us tips on how to un-hitch and checked on us to make sure we didn't need anything. All of the neighbors were very friendly and the redwoods were beautiful. The only bad thing was that it rained the 1st night and day, but we didn't let it damper our mood. We have a 2 year old daughter and we enjoyed watching her run around and experience camping for the 1st time. We will definitely be back next year.

When we arrived at this very congested RV park we wondered how we were going to squeeze in the tiny spaces provided even though we have a very small 19 foot travel trailer. If you like camping in the city where you are close enough to your neighbors to hear their TV even with your windows closed, then come here...as for myself, I will not come here again. The place had dog feces all over the ground and smelled like it. Too bad we couldn't enjoy the fragrant Redwoods due to this. As for the "river" advertised on the website, it was a dirty little trickle and also smelled. Showers were moldy and slimy and we did not use them for fear of athletes foot. I saw no swim area at this park. I felt like I was isolated to stay inside my trailer. Our picnic table was 2 feet from our neighbors sewer pipe so we did not want to eat outside. I would NOT RECOMMEND this park to anyone.

We enjoyed a six night stay at Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort in June 2013. We called ahead of time and requested a site, that did not have alot of traffic. We were assigned site #45. We were more than pleased to have a HUGE pull in site. We were in the back of the back of the campground and surrounded by redwood trees. Our kids enjoyed playing in old redwood tree stumps. We were a close walk to the stream and paved path in the Henry Cowell State Park. While at the campground we enjoyed the pancake breakfast, club house, showers and laundry facilities. The cost for each load of laundry was less than many other campgrounds. The camp mangers were very sweet. We had some car trouble and multiple times offered to help us or give us a ride. We rented a fire pit, for $5 for the entire week. The fire pit and wood was delivered to our site. We met so many nice and friendly "regulars". We REALLY enjoyed our stay. We are a family with four small children and a dog.

The place was more than we expected we love the location the staff was very nice greeting us in to the park helped me park my fifth wheel in our spot, we stayed there three nights and we loved it, however if your site does not have a fire pit make sure you ask for one, we pay a fine of 200 dollars for having a fire not in the approved fire pit by the office, Do not brake their rules or the staff will nearly take your head off a mistake can be made by anybody and although a mistake was made he did not have to be that rude.

We just spent two days exploring Santa Cruz while staying tucked up in the redwoods in a quiet RV resort. The staff were nice and helpful and bathrooms clean and updated with showers. Ask for spot 25 above the river. Kids will like to play in the old redwood stumps that resemble volcanoes and are the size of our eurovan.
