“Exceptional Value”

We have stayed off and on at the Country Inn for the past nine months and this is by far the best value in Fallbrook and probably the entire North County. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. You get a microwave and small refrigerator in the room which is very nice if you are staying for a few days or have children. The staff is very friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay a pleasant one.

Room Tip: The courtyard rooms are newer and have better TV sets, the outer rings are a little less expensive.

Stayed here in summer of 2011. Thought the poor facilities had to do with the new management just purchasing a rundown place. Reading other reveiws it appears English is still lacking, as is the customer service. He had full booking then and required 30 minutes notice to start up the hot tub. Then he came out and berated us for not getting in it right away (it wasn't "hot" yet). The roomS were not as clean as I would have liked. Breakfast? I don't call that any kind of a breakfast. There were miscellanous items out in the building by the pool. We did not eat there either. Was a little afraid to, actually. From reading other reviews, it doesn't appear the conditions here have changed. If you want cheap, you take what you can get.

Room Tip: Pay more and go elsewhere!

What a cute and romantic name for a run down dive. My first room smelled like Lysol and smoke, the two bedside table lamps did not work - the toilet leaked all over the floor. The desk clerk gave me another room with no comment whatsoever except to invalidate my complaint of smoke and no apology. I went to the second room and it was already occupied by someone else. When I went back to the desk clerk and said "that room is occupied" all he did was repeat what I said. Again no apology! The third room, smelled ok, two out of three bulbs in the overhead light worked but there was no hot water at 9:00 at night! I give up. It's very inexpensive but so is the Econolodge across the street and it is completely remodeled and furnished 4 star. I was there last week but decided to try this cutely named place. Oh well... Now I'm going to try to go to sleep to the scraping sounds coming from next door and the loud hum of the refrigerator in my room. Yes, I'm unplugging it. There will be no cold drinks in the morning I guess.

The rooms are big but dated. Still using bedspreads, yak. The clock did,t work or the phone. The bed was very hard. The front desk clerk was not friendly. They wanted the pet payment in cash, that tells me someone is pocketing the money. The morning breakfast was stale toast. If you wanted to use the hot tub they needed three hours notice to start it. Fallbrook needs a nice hotel, they are all un friendly and out dated.

The Fallbrook Country Inn is a prime example of the classic midcentury motor lodge, featuring large, open rooms arranged within long, one-story brick structures. The room was clean, as we're the beddings and bath, and was equipped with a mini-fridge and a microwave for in-room meals. The price is a great value, and includes a modest continental breakfast. The inn is located within walking distance of two grocery stores, two drugstores, a full-service gym, a bus stop, and several restaurants. Historic downtown (quite charming, by the way), is within the range of serious pedestrians such as myself, but only a short drive nevertheless. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Request a room along the third row (approx 120-129) to be farthest away from the street.

For the price we paid (7 nights/$420.) it was o.k. Room was always cleaned in a timely manner. Always had fresh towels. We didn't stay around the pool area, but the atmosphere around the pool area was lovely w/ 2 room access (front and back door). Continental was cereal, milk, juice, coffee, english muffin, toast. Sunday they also had hard boiled eggs. Nothing special, but again, for the price o.k. Good location to town. Management tried to please.
