Ever want to go back in time...this is the place. It has a road sign from the fifty's...a grassy area in the center perfect to let the kids play on,a little store with local produce, florist...with some very unique patio swings. And you enter the restaurant it was full of locals run by a Mom & Pop, their daughter was our waitress she filled us in our the restoration process.....very friendly! I had the tri tip it was cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth! The portions were huge,my husband had the rib eye,was very glad he had the small one as he claimed he could not have finished a larger one. The pie we had for dessert (bananna cream) was homemade & delicious. This truly was a rare find, and if ever back in the area we will be back!

'Home-style' restaurant located on 'Old 395' highway. Had a great breakfast (and great Bloody Mary, although a bit steep at $8), friendly efficient service, fun place to eat. Seems to be THE place for Sun. a.m. - lots of families, groups, bikers & classic cruisers.

Mt husband and I have been here many times, and have always had great service and great food with generous portions. We absolutely love their tri tip sandwich!!! We also have heard from many of our friends that the prime rib is to die for.....but we haven't had the chance to try that one yet........usually available only after 4pm. Their breakfasts are also very good....huge selection and very tasty. The owners and staff are very friendly and definitely make you feel at home! There is also a produce stand/store on the premises, with a mini gas station and florist shop as well. They also have a a bar with Tv's. Great place to stop off after a nice long ride and check out the Harley's too!

Rainbow Oaks is tasty. It's definitely a local joint but by all means please stop by and check it out if you are driving through - or if you are in the mood for something new.

The place looks and feels like a mountain cabin. The portions here are enormous. You will not be hungry when you walk out the door. I haven't had a meal I didn't love from the sandwiches, tri-tip, omelet , spaghetti and meatballs and if they have fried chicken - be sure to order it.

You might find this place packed at times, usually the staff does the best they can.
