“Great for kids!”
Reviewed July 29, 2014

I have been there before several times and once had a personal tour. They have developed this into a major attraction in the area. Themed more to the kids (what else would expect?). We took our grandsons there and they enjoyed it and the free bag of candy ay the end. Don't leave without a few bags of Belly flops. They are a bargain.

“Crowded but interesting tour”
Reviewed July 29, 2014

We arrived a little after lunch on a Wednesday and the line was literally out the door. A sign warned us that the wait at the door is about one hour, and that was accurate. Each group is about 50 people, and the guide leads you along a catwalk overlooking the production floor. There are several stops at which videos are shown about the history and manufacturing of the candies, and the tour ends with a free sample pack. But the best part, as other reviewers have mentioned, is just exploring the store. You can get three free sample beans at the Tasting Counter, and every flavor is available for you to purchase individually or create a custom mix. The "belly flops" (the seconds all mixed together; think something like Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans) are hidden behind a staircase, but these 2 lb bags made great souvenirs for friends once we poured the beans into jelly jars at home.

“Super Busy, but Lots of Fun”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

We got to the Jelly Belly Factory early on a weekday, but since it was summer it was already packed. I was actually shocked by how long the line was! We decided to skip the tour and just walk around the store. That alone is fun. There is a free tasting bar where you can try a selection of the many flavours. The line for this can be crazy too, but it moves pretty fast - although little kids can take a really long time to choose three beans - lol! The fast food options available looked pretty interesting (jelly bean shaped pizza!), though we did not indulge. I gave this four stars because, even though we didn't do the tour, we did not see one child that didn't look like they'd had a blast, the gift shop and tasting bar were fun and there were plenty of silly photo ops.

“A Fun and Informative Tour”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

We visited the Jelly Belly Factory with our two grandchildren, ages 8 and 12. The overall impression is that this is a "fun place" Fortunately it was not very crowded. Being a weekend the factory was operating but the various videos explained the processes very well. It was interesting and informative learning the specialized and unique aspects of manufacturing the jelly beans of the Jelly Belly brand (i.e. both the center and coating are flavored. The tour was well explained by a knowledgeable guide. The history and various memorabilia was interesting and well presented. The store itself was well laid out representing all of their large product line. The free samples were much appreciated. Food was average in the cafertia. A free attraction well worth seeing.

“You can learn what the top jelly belly flavors are”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

We had a great time learning the facts about jelly belly production, top flavors (one is licorice), how many million jelly bellies are made each year. The tour is free and although there were a lot of people in line when we arrived, the wait wasn't too long for the tour. There is a bit of walking but the whole thing is handicap and stroller accessible. And at the end it is hard to choose just three jelly beans from the many available at the tasting bar. The store has all the jelly belly varieties for purchase and also the belly flops (misformed and other non standard beans). And don't fogot to take your picture in front of the jelly belly artwork.
