If you're travelling through California on I-80 or Highway 12 in Solano County, with or without the family, the Jelly Belly Factory is a worthwhile stop; especially given its proximity to these thoroughfares. The tour is great, if you have time; you can see how Jelly Bellies are made and try some samples... If you're simply looking for a spot to get a quick bite, use the facilities, and pick up a few souvenirs, this is the place... The cafe offers sandwiches, pizza, meals, and desserts; while the shop offers candy, including freshly made fudge and chocolate confections, in addition to the Jelly Belly products one would expect. There is also a discount shop with discontinued products, overruns, and those Jelly Bellies that don't quite measure up, known affectionately as the Belly Flop! These products are very reasonably priced and taste great! There's lots to see here, but don't come too late, they close pretty early. Have fun!

We live in the world of technology where hidef channels provide you details with close-up shots. If you're going for a tour to actually see Jelly Belly being made you may not like it, even with children. If you're one of those who are passionate about Jelly Belly then things may be different but dont keep your hopes high for sure.

After a wait time tour lasts 40 minutes and they do feed you "5" Jelly Beans during the tour and a small pack after the tour. Distance is little too far for you to actually see whats going on.

Prices for food, Jelly Belly and other stuff is high, more than what you can get at local stores and even on Amazon. Example a coke costs $2.5 for a glass.

I have 6 and 9 year old boys who liked the tour. On the other hand I had different expectations so got disappointed.

Cheers

This was the one place our kids (13 and 16 year olds) couldn't wait to go. The store is fun to browse. The free sample bar allows everyone to try those more "interesting' flavors. The tour is informative (and has more free samples). The Jelly Belly artwork was impressive. The seasonal Wine and Chocolate tasting was a fun surprise. Definitely worth the drive from San Fran for our family.

We stopped here on our way to Napa. We had time to kill or we probably wouldn't have stopped but ended up really enjoying it. The tour take about 40 minutes and is free. It is automated with a guide walking you to each station where a short video is shown describing what you are seeing. There is a great deal of robotic manufacturing which is interesting to see and also the human intervention. We are 2 seniors who enjoyed it. There were also families with kids who were also fascinated. They also have a candy store which has Belly Flops ( beans which didn't pass quality control) which are sold at a discount as well as all the candies they make.

This is tour for the whole family. Try to do it on a weekday when the factory is in operation. They have seasonal activities as well, such as Brunch with Santa. After the tour, there are free samples of the many flavors of Jelly Bellys. One note, the factory is not in Vacaville(not sure why that's in the address.
