FREE tour and u also get a free paper souvenier hat and pkg of samples. I don't even really like jelly beans but the tour made me want to try them again. They have a sampling bar and a good deal on the rejects. Would be a great activity for fams with kids.

So the tour goes like this: Get a paper hat, pose for a lame green screen photo, blah blah blah, blah blah blah, ooohh free jelly beans!! Ok joking. It is actually fun and interesting to see all that goes into making them. And at the end you can sample flavors and buy Belly Flops, the hilariously named 'reject' jelly beans. Which taste just as good as regular but are way cheaper. They have a dog run outside, which is cool, but I don't really get it, cause what are you supposed to do with Fido during the 45 minute tour?

My wife and I took the tour late on a Monday afternoon and found it a little dry. You walk around a mezzanine catwalk and go from stop to stop watching a video and hearing a short blurb from your guide at each location. It was boring at times but overall still vaguely interesting to learn more about the process. The best part for us was visiting the store and seeing all kinds of treats we were unaware about because we don't get everything up in Canada. If you visit the store make sure you buy the Belly Flops. These 2lb bags of rejected beans taste just as good but are so cheap in comparison because they don't meet the uniform JB size standards. They were "Buy 3 for $27 get 2 free" or you can buy a case of 10 bags for $50. They're like a variety bag except all flavours are included not just the 2 dozen or so in the regular variety packs. We went with 5 but should have bought the case since we gave 4 bags away to family members the first day back from vacation.

Took the kiddies here on a Saturday afternoon and we had a good time. We had to wait in a long line to take the tour, but we didn't have any other plans so it was fine. The kids learned a lot, and were surprised by how many steps went in to making a simple looking jelly bean. I liked how they gave you a sample of the bean during the various stages of production, that was interesting. The art work done entirely in jelly beans was impressive and fun to look at, too. The kids were so excited to get a little bag of jelly beans at the end of the tour. A couple of hours well spent at the Jelly Belly Factory, for free! Unless, of course, you stop at the store and by jelly beans.

If you're in the area, the Jelly Belly Factory tour is excellent. Lots of interesting facts about how the candy is made and, of course, samples all along the way. And at the end of the tour, you're able to spend lots of money in the gift shop! My grandsons loved all the "special" flavors - ones most adults will avoid! The pizza in the cafe area was good and the Jelly Belly soda was a big hit. In addition to all that, they also have a great staff. Beware tours on weekends as it was packed the first time we stopped. We returned during the week and it was perfect. Be sure to get pictures next to the Jelly Belly cars out front.
